「This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland.
We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. 「Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business.

「The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. 「This property exceeded our expectations! Very spacious lounge and kitchen. The 4 double bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Massive bonus was that 2 of them had ensuites as well as another bathroom.
The property was immaculate and is clearly looked after well.
The location was very peaceful and remote. Daunting single road to travel from the main road for 2-3 miles however after doing it once it was a lot easier. Minimal traffic.
