"So, we were very impressed by the overall experience, with two caveats. Before I get to those, I want to complement management for good rooms at a fair price (lower than the nearby competition). Each room has a full kitchenette, nice bedding and good shower. If you have an electric car, beware that their chargers only work for Teslas. This matters because we needed a charge, and appreciated the offer of a free charge with the exorbitant $45 overnight valet parking fee. We were grateful that they reversed our fee when we explained that we were misled by the staff on the phone. Second, they are pet friendly. However, the ad on Hotels.com didn’t clearly state the pet fee, which is a whopping $75. It was explained that this is a “cleaning” fee. However, our dog is hypoallergenic and made zero mess. I’d like management to consider only adding the charge if indeed a pet makes a mess. It seems like a rip-off."

"I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean, spacious rooms, and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and the valet parking was very convenient and easy to recover your car if needed. The most important thing that it was in walking distance of everything 5 to 10 minute the most walk. The hotel was also so close to so many bars. restaurants and boutiques The only thing that was a little disappointing was the breakfast. I thought it was a bit bland and there wasn’t that many choices. However, the good news is that if you don’t want to eat breakfast at the hotel, you have many other places to go eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay here again when visiting Portsmouth."

"Good spot for a quick overnight. Room was clean, access to downtown was great. Front desk staff were wonderful. The property is under a major renovation, so the rating did take that into consideration. Hope they add more electric outlets and charging options in the rooms. Would stay again."
