Quiet....quiet

It is a nice little hotel and the personnel is O.K. They accommodate us with another room because of the noise with the air conditioner. Unfortunately the pool is cleaned ONLY once a week and the pomp in the pool are not operating so it leaves all kind of sediments at the bottom and in the water. The facilities mentioned on the add were not available because there was not enough guesses (two or three rooms occupied). The hotel is VERY far from everything. Need ABSOLUTELY a car to go around. The publicity mentioned a beach located nearby and the personnel confirmed it. Unfortunately the only beach nearby has a very dangerous access and can accommodate about 4 to 5 persons... sitting very close to one another.

Bra ställe men ligger avsides

Väldigt rent och lungt ställe. Busshållplats precis utanför hotellet. Bussen går till flygplatsen och sedan med till bridgetown och vice versa. Man behöver inte ha hyrbil för att bo här men det underlättar. Bussen till bridgetown tar en timma minst. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Extremt rent. Sköna vindar vid hotellet. Prisvärt!

close to air port and the rooms are clean

Nice quiet hotel!!

Nice reasonable hotel, distance from town. Transportation right outside hotel which is a plus. Employees nice, easy going and friendly. Room comfortable. Will stay again.

Horrible hotel with horrible staff.

We never would have booked this hotel if not for the limited last minute avilablity on the island. $200 a night for a junk hotel like this is crazy. Within hours of booking this hotel we had to cancel our reservation due to an emergency. They refused to refund any of our $600 charge to stay for 3 days. It also took Expedia a week to get ahold of anyone at the hotel to request the refund. Expedia says they don't charge cancellation fees but if you get charged cancellation fees then it seems that advertising that is very misleading. Customer service here stinks.

We are very happy with our stay. It is the third time. When we arrived we were greeted like family coming home and have been treated like that all the time here. This motel is close to nice beaches and cutters of Barbados. Also very good food is available here which must be arranged ahead. Overall our stay was very excellent. Earl & Doreen Cusack

The hotel is comparable to any but the worse thing was the bed. The bathroom had an area. Of water seepage in the wall. Sure that should not be left unattended for visitors to see.

Bad choice

Staff is simply very very very nice but there is nothing here, it is way too far from everything. 60-70 Barbados dollars every single time you will take a taxi to Bridgetown ... No WiFi in the room so we squatted the front-desk for hours, no food options, no room service, we got ripped off with food delivery (40 USD for 2 tiny chicken sandwich) ants in the room, noisy fridge.

Nice hotel, remote but bus stop right outside

Some reviewers have written adversely about remoteness. I found this a plus, nice and quiet with a bus stop right outside. Caught a bus whenever we wanted to go to restaurants mainly in Oistin, Bridgetown was an hour away on the bus. One negative, pool needed cleaning as did the pool furniture.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our studio apartment was extremely spacious and well equipped. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We will be recommending this hotel to family and friends.

Great value and sleepy gem in Barbados

Very pleasant stay in a sleepy neighborhood. Comfortable, clean, AC, great wifi, safe place with very friendly staff. Only knock is that you would need a car or take some public transportation (which is easily accessible) to get to beaches & restaurants.

The price is good for what you get.

The apartment was not too bad, spacious room with a small kitchen, fridge and a balcony . The bus stop is close by . But the sea is quite far away and the supermarket. The staff are very friendly and polite and that makes a lot of difference...

Our stay

We enjoyed our stay at Tropical Winds. The staff were very nice and helpful. The only issue was that we were unable to watch any cable stations like CNN. It was an overnight stay but we will return to Tropical Winds in the future .

Hôtel très tranquille et staff très sympa

Situé dans une partie calme de l'ile (sud est) cet hôtel est idéal pour être loin du tumulte de la cote ouest. Le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins, et la propreté de la chambre comme du reste est parfait. Nous sommes partis début février 2014 et seulement 4 ou 5 chambres maxi étaient occupées sur une trentaine !... La petite piscine (de 10 mètres quand même!) était quasiment désertée. Pensez à louer une voiture si possible c'est plus pratique, sinon le bus passe à 30 m. de l'hôtel et vous emmène à Bridgetown en 30 minutes, il passe environ toutes les 15 minutes. Il y a une "superette" à 7 minutes en voiture. Les studios sont équipés juste avec de quoi manger pour 2 ! (assiettes, couverts, etc...). Chouette endroit pour savourer le calme, belles plage de Cave Bay et Crane Beach à proximité, mais attention juste pour se tremper car beaucoup de vagues. Les plages sont quasi désertes dans ce coin, contrairement aux plages de la côte ouest qui sont surpeuplées et souvent masquées par les hôtels "de luxe" ! Bon voyage !

Tropical Winds

Enjoyed our stay very much. The House keeping lady Margaret was a delightful person and Anderson in the dining room was excellent. The meals that we had there were very good indeed. Two small items to make things even better, it would be nice to have a small container of washing up liquid and a sponge, J cloth available to wash cups and saucers etc, and the safes in the two rooms we occupied were not functional. Apart from that, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again.Great value for money.

Exactly what i wanted

I needed a place to stay for an overnight layover. It was perfect for that. It was not expensive, yet the room was great and perfect for my needs. It is apart from the main Barbados tourist attractions but that was not what I was looking for anyway. If you are interested in a clean and friendly atmosphere, I would recommend this place.

Nice hotel but too quiet a location

It was a very nice hotel ,clean,air conditioned rooms and a communal swimming pool. The only problem might be the location as its a little off the beaten path . For those who would prefer their hotel located nearer the beach or centres of activities then this would not suit your needs. It's about a 20 min drive (yes you'll need to hire a car if you choose this hotel) to the nearest beach . But overall, this hotel is for guests who would want a stay in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist trail .
