I rented this apartment for three days in July while visiting London with my wife and our three teenage daughters. We weren’t planning to leave a review, as the apartment didn’t meet our expectations—but after receiving three messages from the owner in five days requesting a five-star rating, we felt compelled to share our honest experience. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. It’s about a 45-minute tube ride to the Tower of London. The owner was responsive when issues arose and offered to reimburse us for out-of-pocket costs. That said, the apartment was disappointing. There were cobwebs on lights and bookshelves, and the space didn’t feel clean. The dryer was full of water, and supplies were lacking—just one roll of toilet paper, which ran out the first night. No instructions were provided, and it took research to figure out how to use appliances.A wild fox appeared both mornings in the tiny 16' x 8' fenced backyard. This was concerning, as the apartment lacked A/C and the owner advised us to cool it by opening the doors to that space. The unit was also in poor condition: damaged walls, broken blinds, inaccurate bed descriptions, and no real sofa bed—just a couch, which made for three uncomfortable nights for our daughter. In short, while the location and host responsiveness were appreciated, the apartment fell short in cleanliness, accuracy, and basic hospitality. We do not recommend this rental in its current state.
