Overall I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious and the scenary of the neiborhood (Blackheath) is peace and quiet. However, conditions in the room need to be improved. I could not completey shut the window - the window locker (crescent) was creaky and wind was easily blowing to the room. This would especially affect our stay negatively especially in winter season.

窓からの素晴らしい眺めに感嘆。エコ配慮も申し分なし。ただ、絨毯の汚れと、食堂の花瓶の水が汚れていたことが気になりました。潔癖症というわけではないのですが。

総体的にとても良かったが、部屋の中ではWiFiが使えなかったのが少し残念だった。朝食は想像以上だったので満足できた。駅からも比較的近くてよかったが、大きいスーツケースを持っていると少し不便かもしれない、というのもホテルまでは少しだけ坂道で、ホテル内にエレベーターは無く階段のみだった。

The biggest con is this hotel is very confusing and difficult to navigate. I didn’t think I’d need help getting my luggage to my room but I should have accepted when they offered! Everything is on different levels, so even after taking the lift I had to go up and down several short sets of stairs. The signage is very poor (not a lot of it and sometimes incomplete, so there were signs pointing to rooms near mine but not to the section mine was in). I got lost the first time I left my room! But the room itself was nice enough. The bathroom was laid out oddly (lots of space but hard to find places to hang towels), but it had a nice shower/tub. The light in the bathroom was motion activated (no switch). It kept coming on until I figured out it would turn off if I closed the door. But it came on again the second I opened the door, so it was impossible to use the bathroom at night without being blinded. I had a nice view of Blackheath, but that also meant there was a lot of traffic that kept me awake, and there wasn’t much difference in noise when the window was open or closed. The window opened a decent amount and there was a fan installed in the room (mounted on the wall). That was great since it was warm. Just don’t do what I did and pull back the sheer inner curtain all night, because I woke up the first morning with a pigeon in my room…

The bathtub is very difficult to get in and out. The floor of the tub and floor in the bathroom is slippery and there is nothing to hold on to. I am hoping when I come back there will be a tub or shower option for elderly that will be safer. Your breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff are very nice. I will be back in a few months!

Excellent hotel overlooking the Blackheath green space outside of Canary Wharf. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff in the breakfast and bar are unusually friendly for London, lol. Great place. A rare treat to have a small village like atmosphere. Parking is an issue and very expensive if you do happen to be driving. The hotel has free spaces for guests, but it is potluck getting one. Blackheath station is on the Southeastern so good access to London Bridge etc.

Great hotel. It is a old building so it is a little bit loudy and the breakfast is very simpel, but good. Had a great room for one person. Cleaninglady was excellent and very nice. Also the staff in the morning. But takw your breakfast on time because it is very busy later on and you have to wait.

The Clarendon is very handy for the centre of Blackheath and the staff are always helpful and approachable. Despite two major Saturday evening functions our first floor room was remarkably quiet. Bathroom facilities are on the small side and the water pressure was low when we were there making showering difficult. The hotel was obviously full last weekend and Sunday breakfast slow, with certain items not available. Minor drawbacks compared with the hotel's convenience for our purpose.

We have stayed here before. A very nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. A very nice self-service breakfast, too. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance and the hotel has its own very good restaurant as well. The Clarendon is also handy for the railway station, with a quick service into London.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Badezimmer definitiv nur für eine Person geeignet. Waschbecken, sind eher Gäste WC Becken. Viel zu klein. 2 Personen im Bad gehen überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten ein Vier-Bett Zimmer und auch ein so kleines Bad. Frühstück ist okay. Aber kein Käse. Kein Brot, nur Toast. Zimmertüren eine Katastrophe. Die drückt man mit 2 Fingern auf, wenn man will. Sehr hellhörig. Aber wenn man London als Citytour besuchen möchte und einen Parkplatz für einen Van braucht, ist die okay. Man schläft ja nur da.

Staff make this place great. The breakfast staff have a chat and a laugh and put onbthe absolute feast of English brekkies. Room was just what I needed and they moved me tob1st floor since i had a bit of luggage. Easy walk from Blackheath station. Lots of great little independent restaurants in town. The Everest is one of the best meals ive had in a while.
