Affordable, but comes with significant compromises. The Good: * Situated within easy walking distance of local attractions. * The bed sheets and towels were relatively clean, and we were able to get some sleep. * It is competitively priced if you are strictly looking for a cheap place to crash. The Bad: * We stayed on a 4th floor - room under the slanted roof, resulting in very limited headroom - I hit my head multiple times on the wooden studs. * The bathroom suffered from a strong, overpowering bleach smell combined with a terrible drain odor. The window featured makeshift blinds, and one was extremely difficult to close. * The in-room coffee facility was dirty, so we didn't dare use it. The wardrobe also only had a few broken hangers. * There is no lift, making hauling luggage up the tiny, steep staircases a major workout. * Several hallway lights flickered so severely it felt more like a nightclub than a hotel corridor. You definitely get what you pay for here. While the historic building has potential charm and the location is convenient, the cleanliness issues, maintenance flaws, and lack of basic comfort make it hard to recommend unless you are on a strict budget and just need a bed for the night.
