This is an excellent hotel, especially convenient for a first or last night before boarding the ferry.
The ground floor has been expensively restored and improved and, together with the grounds, are a great place to visit.
The food is excellent, a good breakfast is included, and the optional dinner we had was superb, with great food and extremely generous portions.
The rooms, however, leave something to be desired. They are clean but dark and cheaply furnished and the decor very plain, more what one would expect in a dormitory. For a one night stop over, its fine, but I would not want to stay longer, which is a pity as everything else is fine and the staff are very attentive.
