We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. "The venue was spacious and tidy, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. My first impressions were great and the room was faultless - big, comfy, great level of amenities. Pool was free to use as a overnight guest (family swim until 6pm). Good enough location with the nearest 2 towns about 18 minutes away (Braintree or Colchester). You have converted a repeat customer in me for sure"

"The hotel was set in a nice, quiet location with lovely views. The room was a good size, plenty of room and tea/coffee making facilities. The decor in the room was very tasteful and the bathroom was really spacious. Very clean accommodation. The room was cleaned daily. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. Lovely seating area outside. Ample parking. Only downside was the bed and pillows which were far too soft for us but obviously that is just down to personal taste. All in all a very enjoyable 3 day break and will definitely be staying again ."
