New eco-lodge in the countryside, three minutes from all amenities.

  • Welcome to Sunka Ecogîtes, a new addition to the area. You’ll be staying at the Mokuzai cottage, located in a natural setting just outside Limoux (on a two-hectare estate).
We offer a rejuvenating, ethical, and sustainable stay in cottages built with respect for the environment, using natural and healthy materials.
Limoux, known for its white linen, will be your starting point for exploring the many sites of the Cathar region located nearby: Saint-Hilaire Abbey, the city of Carcassonne, the village of Alet-les-Bains, Arques Castle, as well as whitewater sports in the Upper Aude Valley. Numerous shops are less than 5 minutes away.
On-site, you’ll enjoy the large panoramic terrace with views of the Pyrenees, complete with outdoor furniture. Private above-ground pool (4.90 x 3 m, depth 1.20 m, secured with an alarm and removable guardrails) featuring all-natural salt water treatment.
On the property, there is a reception area where you can get information about various tours in the area, organized in partnership with the tourist office. A secure storage area for bicycles is also available.

Excellent well equipped accomodation in a quiet location with a small prívate pool.We had a small problem with the pool, but this was quickly addressed by th owners.Be aware that in the current heatwave there is no air conditioning and the gîte gets very hot. Careful positioning of fans and shutters at night helps, as does the pool.Although the VRBO listing says there is Internet, this is wired only for the smart TV. There is no WiFi, but cellular coverage is excellent.

A recommander absolument

The Best Gîte We Have Ever Stayed In!

The only way to describe the Gîte is wow! We have holidayed in France many times, always staying in a rental holiday Gîte, but none of them have been even close to this good, everything about it was perfect. The gîte is located just on the outer edge of Limoux. Its location gives you the perfect feel of isolation while still being within a few minutes drive of the town centre and a large supermarket. At the front is a large decked terrace and the pool. The front is south facing, and it is a lovely place just to sit and relax. The pool is lovely, it is warmed by the sun all day, and it is great to have a splash about in. There is a big table on the terrace to have an evening meal. The inside is as stunning as the outside. The gîte was spotless, with three decent sized bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two singles. The floors are solid wood, as are most of the walls. The living area is a really good size with a kitchen area, a lounge area, and another large table to eat at. There is also a utility room with a washing machine. All of the appliances are really good quality, with an electric oven, microwave, gas hob, and dishwasher in the kitchen. In summery the Sunka ECO gîtes are a fantastic place to have a family holiday in a fantastic and beautiful area of France. Christian, Christelle, have created something very special here, and I would recommend to anyone to go and stay at the Sunka ECO gîtes. I really hope we get to stay there again one day.
