Wonderful Stay at the Bothy!
My husband and I had 5 glorious nights at the Bothy and wished it could have been longer. Juliet and her husband were really helpful and accommodating, the apartment was lovely and comfortable, and quintessentially English, and we both fell in love with the sheep. The welcome was warm and the apartment had what we needed. We would not hesitate to return. Thank you Juliet!

A lovely property in stunning surroundings, it's a well presented property with everything you need for a comfortable and cosy stay, we only stayed a couple off nights but will definitely book again for a longer stay.

Cosy bothy in beautiful spot

This was a really warm and cosey property in a great location. The bed was the most comfortable ever. We only spent 2 nights and one full day walking so will certainly return - so much more to see.

A well equipped, comfortable bothy in an idyllic location. We would definitely recommend doing the walk to Aysgarth Falls following the public foot paths. We would definitely visit again.

Well placed for walking
Plus points…clean cottage, beautiful setting, comfortable bed and many walks from the doorstep. Constructive criticism…Property parking place well indicated, however the entrance to the cottage less so. Some signage would be useful. A pint of milk in the fridge would have been good , however there was nothing by way of a welcome. The garden needs some tlc. There was a bench from where there is a probably a beautiful view, however we couldn’t reach it as it it was so overgrown with nettles. These are small niggles. Don’t let them put you off.

Stay in the Yorkshire Dales
3 days in a lovely old stone “bothy” in a secluded part of the Dales. Very comfy with all amenities this was a perfect location to explore this part of Yorkshire. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The perfect gem!
It was terrific! The Bothy was what we expected: great location and perfect surroundings. Juliette was the great host, happy to help with tips on best pubs, best food and best walks. I highly recommend it.

Many local hikes were accessible from your doorstep. We didn’t need to drive anywhere to experience the beautiful local countryside.

Gorgeous Place
The property was gorgeous, and you could take several hikes right from the property. The Hikes were on a lovely river. The Bothy was charming, and Juliet is a wonderful host. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable with really nice linens.. we would love to return!

Disappointing
We were looking forward to a short stay in Yorkshire. we thought that the property that we had booked would be ideal but we were disappointed from the first time we stepped in the door of the property. The pictures were obviously taken at the start of the letting tenure and when when they were taken the property was probably very nice. Unfortunately, there seems to have been little time or effort spent on upkeep. The kitchen utensils and appliances were dirty, the shower in the bathroom was mouldy all the way round the bath and in the bedroom when we moved cushions there was considerable mould on the window sill. Other matters would also lead us to believe it needs attention. It is a shame because the owner is pleasant and the property in a good location and could be so much better presented.

The property was great with a charming bedroom. Our only problem was getting in once we got there. There was a clear sign for Bothy parking but nothing to direct us through the gate and out behind the building for entrance.

Peaceful Retreat
We absolutely loved the Bothy, it was cosy, intimate and secluded. With a well stocked kitchen it was easy to prepare our own meals. The water for the bath was lovely and hot and the bed so comfortable. The farm is set in beautiful tranquil surroundings with lovely walks both ways out of the back door. The night skies were wonderful with no light pollution. Overall a wonderful, relaxing experience.

Just back home after a very refreshing couple of nights in the lovely bothy conversion on a working farm. Wonderful hosts, running rivers through a private woodland and a gloriously appointed kitchen and the bed was as sumptuous as anywhere!

Loved to have booked a longer stay.
Upon arriving Juliet came out to greet us along with a very friendly Jack Russell Terrier. The Bothy was warm and cozy especially due to the unseasonably cold weather we were having at the time. The quiet was wonderful especially after a hectic week of traveling and the bed was ever so comfortable and cozy. Easy access to Wensleydale Creamery and Butter Tubs Pass. Loved our stay and will book longer next time.

Lovely relaxed break
My husband and I had a lovely break at Juliet’s cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful location, with stunning views and walks on the doorstep. The cottage is beautifully furnished, clean and cosy with everything you need for your break away. Juliet, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly and got back quickly and efficiently to any queries we had. I would recommend this cottage as the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break in lovely surroundings.

Cosy, comfy, rural retreat
This place is perfect to get away from busy life and experience nature at its best. A short but interesting walk to Aysgarth Falls and back before heading back to a log fire and cosy night in with all the facilities needed to cater for yourself. Beamed ceilings are not for the very tall but give this place amazing character. I would recommend to stay here.

The perfect place for the Yorkshire Dales
Loved our stay at The Bothy. Access to the woods and River Ure. For days out easy reach to Wensleydale and Aysgarth Falls. Plus lovely easy walks right from the door through the countryside. Highlight of our stay was taking photos of the kingfishers herons and little Egrets on the river. Bliss. Day out to the Wensleydale country show.

Excellent place and location! Loved the Bothy.
We really enjoyed staying at the Bothy. It was perfect for our 2 week stay. We love how it’s situated on the farm and right by the Ure River. It is very peaceful. The location is perfectly situated in the Yorkshire Dales near wonderful walking paths and near nice areas to explore. Juliet and her family were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We will be back!

In times of social distancing a self contained bothy on a beautiful farm seemed an ideal choice and it was brilliant. The location in the heart of Wensleydale was superb and the accommodation was well equipped and comfortable with lovely bed linen and fluffy towels.
