All on one level, guests will find a spacious and beautifully co-ordinated living space, which has exposed beams, comfortable furnishings and a practical open plan kitchen. There is a well-decorated double bedroom with fabulous views, TV and kingsize bed. The shower room is well finished and perfectly situated between the bedroom and the boot room area, which make a great spot for washing down dirty paws or walking boots. Situated within a truly spectacular location, at any time of year, guests will find Brandy’s Barn a welcoming retreat for any special occasion.
Nestled away in the popular Wensleydale village of Middleham, yet surrounded by fields and countryside and views from every window, Brandy’s Barn is the perfect location for guests wanting to really explore the local area. Enjoy a stay in the heart of this historic horse racing village, which is renowned for its colourful history and thriving horse racing community. Middleham is set within the magnificent beauty of the Wensleydale countryside and is the perfect destination for guests of all ages. Ideal for a quiet and romantic break away, there are many pubs, restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance, which are all well-known for serving good quality local food and produce.
Once home to Richard III and known in former times as the ’Windsor of the North’, the ruins of Middleham Castle are certainly worth a visit. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers too, guests will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead directly from the doorstep of Brandy’s Barn and out through the surrounding fields towards and through the Wensleydale Dales and beyond. Walkers will find themselves on a journey through heather covered grouse moors, open countryside, natural woodland and pretty little Yorkshire villages.
Also the ideal destination for exploring the heart of North Yorkshire, guests will find plenty of excellent local attractions that are popular for all year round. Only 3 miles away from the traditional market town of Leyburn, guests will be able to visit the local chocolate museum, tea pottery and Tennants Auction House, as well as enjoying a browse around the weekly local farmers market.
The Forbidden Corner is also a must see and is situated just 4 miles away. This hidden folly offers twists and turns in all directions making it popular for adults as well as children. The Wensleydale Railway stops in Leyburn and will take guests on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. Castle Bolton, Jervaulx Abbey and Wensleydale Creamery can also be reached within a very short drive and offer different attractions and events for different tastes. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
