We did not get a confirmation of what hotel/appartment we was given until we contacted Levantur a couple of days before arrival. Don't know if it was a glitch between Levantur and Hotels.com or something else. We even thought of cancelling the whole thing and go somewhere else instead. BUT, we were placed at Appartamento Excelsior, at the north hillside, fairly close to both beach and railway. A lot of steap stairs - a challange with small kids and a stroller!
The service at the Levantur agancy was friendly but very stressed (perhaps because of check in on a saturday?).
Great appartment, nice atmosphere, fantastic garden, nice, clean family friendly pool. Fantastic view from the two balconies. A bit worn down appartment but clean and charming.
Silent, close to the nice, beautifull public beach close to the cliffs in the north of Levanto. Can really recommend Appartamento Excelsior, but has no clue about any of the other appartments.
We travelled with two kids (6 and 2) with no car (came by train). We are fairly experimentet backpackers, hipsters, designer types...
A challange with all the stairs. And really bad that we did not get the confirmation about the appartment in advance (before we asked). But after all: Appartamento Excelsior gets 4 out of 5. Worth it's price (even with the extra 60 euro for cleaning). Levantur as agency 2 out of 5. Stressed people, hidden fees (read the fine prints). But friendly.
