「1500年代に建てられた貴族の館をケンブリッジ大学が買い取り、改装して、集会・宿泊施設として使用している。日本でいえば城に泊まっているようなもので、古い建物とそれを取り巻く英国庭園は素晴らしい。泊まる事が一つのイベントになり得るほどである。石作りの為か、他の部屋の音もあまり聞こえない。一階の部屋に泊まったが、バスタブがあり、給湯量も豊富で良かった。二階の部屋に泊まった同行者の部屋にはバスタブが無く、給湯量もしょぼかったそうである。 外部とは薄いガラス窓一枚であり、6月はセントラルヒーティングが切られているため、天気が悪いと夜とても寒かった。不便な立地の為か朝食がつく。町まではTAXIで13～4ポンド」

「英国に留学中の娘との母娘の個人旅行で利用しました。レンタカーで移動しながらの旅でしたので、ロンドン市街地から1時間以内の場所ということで決めました。ロンドンでたっぷり遊んで夕食も済ませてからでも苦にならない距離です。Hotel自体は新しくはないですが、駐車場もあり、朝食もサービス良く美味しかったので全体的に好印象を受けました。」

「We had an amazing stay here, upon arrival we noted that there was plenty of available parking spaces and we received a lovely welcome from the staff. Over the weekend, we often enjoyed a few drinks in the pub as well as a lovely dinner there. We were made to feel very comfortable, welcomed and relaxed at all times. The food was very good (especially the freshly cooked breakfast made to order). Many thanks for a perfect stay!」
