2021 full renovation to this charming cottage on Lake Hartwell. Enjoy the privacy of the woods and convenience of a covered boat slip. Property is located in Gumlog and is perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The neighborhood roads are privately maintained and a great place for walks and to enjoy nature. Tugaloo State Park is 2 miles away from the cottage and offers trails, swimming, and boat ramp. Boats are available to rent at nearby marina.

4th of July @ Lake Hartwell

The location was in a great area close to Tugaloo to launch our boat. The house was perfect for our stay, it was well maintained, clean and well stocked. The dock was in great shape for docking our boat for our stay. We would 100% book again to stay next year.

We had a blast on our trip to hartwell. House was very cute and clean. Owners are wonderful! They even called to inform us of some work they had just completed on the house. The dock is perfect for swimming and fishing. Great neighborhood. Perfect place to take a family.

Cute Cottage on the Lake!

We are quite familiar with Lake Hartwell, but mainly on the SC side. This was our first time staying in the Gumlog area of the lake in GA. The owners did a great job on the renovation of this little cottage. It was super cute and super clean! Although the whole place was under 1000 square ft, it was great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The views from the deck were great, as the house is situated on a wooded lot on a quiet cove. The area was very peaceful too! We didn't use the dock this time, but appreciated the owner letting us know about the power issues on the dock itself. We thought it may be difficult to maneuver our large pontoon trailer on the narrow neighborhood roads, but there is ample space. Overall, a great stay!

Perfect Hidden Gem

The house was the perfect size for just the two of us. We got away while the kids were at camp for a working week. The house was fully stocked with everything that we needed. They even allowed us to check out late since we had the boat with us. A word of caution. If you need to store your trailer at the house while there. Be aware that the roads are small and tight. It took my skilled husband to get it backed into the lot. Other than that. It was perfect!

Great boat dock!

Stayed here for a short weekend getaway with our dog. Darrin and Renee were very gracious and responsive to questions. Place is as pictured and had everything we needed. The house is located in a quiet part of the lake, so we enjoyed hanging out on the dock and kayaking in peace without having to deal with a lot of boats. Will stay here again!

Short weekend

It was very clean and easy to get too by boat. It would have been nice to have a table on deck to eat. The one on it was rotten. Big drop from steps to dock. It woukd have been nice to have some furniture on dock and regular grill. Would stay again.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had so much fun on our weekend stay here. The home is immaculately clean, smells wonderful & has the cutest décor! You can see the lake from the living room window - the walk down to the dock is easy & the dock itself is amazing! Definitely recommend!

Our family enjoyed the forest surrounding the house and time on the dock swimming and playing on our kayak and paddle board. The house is updated with a nicely stocked kitchen. We had a relaxing stay.
