Staff was amazing. This is a budget hotel, as simple as it comes.The room was just OK, nothing to write about. Like many hotels in Switzerland it has no AC so sleeping was impossible. The room was extremely hot - in June no less. There is no elevator so you must travel light as the floors are pretty high and the stairs rival a full day mountain hike. This hotel is a SELF CHECK-IN hotel which was not mentioned on the third party agency we used to book it with. We were a bit surprised to get here only to be asked about a reservation number which we did not have to complete the check-in... However the staff was more than helpful and solved everything. They do have a restaurant on premises which stays open pretty late. Food is outstanding and, again, the people working here went beyond the call of duty. Breakfast was simple but hit the spot.

Our room was very clean and comfortably large. The location was outstanding, being conveniently close to the train station and Main Street with it being load or overly touristy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a great start to each day! We were visiting during the epic European heat wave and while the hotel did not have air conditioning the doors to the balconies were convenient and easy to keep open to create a draft. Thick curtains kept the sun out during the day to keep the room from warming too much. This was our favorite hotel from our Switzerland trip visiting 4 different hotels.

We booked this last minute but it was the less busy season so they were still able to give us a room with a view of the Matterhorn. The staff was exceptional and were running the entire place, even serving beers. Breakfast was OK but it was included so that is great. Location is a little down the path from town so plan for a hike or get a taxi.

The perfect Hotel if you want to go to Zermatt!!!! Everything was great. I’ll need a few pages to describe how good this place is. We felt like at home. The amenities , restaurant, breakfast, room, sauna, pool…. All 5 stars Just to mention a few people like Albano at reception, Bastian at restaurant, Stefan always so helpful, Cristina in housekeeping. Will come back again. Just across from Sunnega tram a close to everything. Highly recommendable
