The good: Located near the top floor of the MGM Signature with an awesome view! The layout was perfect for a group of 7 ladies to celebrate a 40th birthday.
The bad: Let me preface this with the fact that the host reimbursed me $200 (out of $2583) for the inconvenience. The day prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in, which the host approved for an additional $75 charge. We arrived around 2pm, and in the hallway outside of our room was a “caution wet floor" sign and a big industrial fan that is used to dry carpets. Upon entering the room, the unit with the kitchen, sitting area and bedroom were all fine. There were some pictures that had been taken off the wall and stored in closets, which was odd. When we opened the door to the other unit, we were instantly hit with a musty type of smell. The carpet was all wet - when we walked on it our socks were soaked. We propped the door open to try and help with the smell, but it didn’t help, it progressively got worse over time. The majority of the time we hung out in the other room and outside, but those of us who slept and got ready in the room were met with the smell each time and it was very overpowering. We reached out to the owner and supposedly she sent someone in with air fresheners, but we weren’t there at the time and the smell when we returned only seemed worse. We ended up vacating the smelly room a day prior to checkout and the rest of us stayed in the other room.
