"We had a three day stay at Lumina Valley View Monteverde in April 2025. The house is very spacious, modern and comfortable. It has an amazing gourmet kitchen (love the waterfall style granite countertop!) and a great view with a lovely, vibrant orange sunset. Lovely furnishings and decor. Also ample hot water, AC and strong Wifi. Note that this location is a little far out so not walkable to any amenities. Our host Glenda, who is a native of Monteverde, was amazing. "There is no better view of the volcano than at this property. It is right next to a soda, so easy to get food. The cabin was upgraded, and had everything you needed for a night in or just a pass thru. Close to all area attractions. Hosts were super helpful in giving you local gems. Would highly recommend!"

"Very nice place, close to brewery and the reserves "

"Great spot to land and really get away from the majority of tourists. Local restaurants are cheaper, people are happier and it is not that far to all things Arenal. The house was great and property manager responded quickly when we had questions. Only thing is there is just one gate code, doors take a bit to get used to lock and unlock and house is 4th one on the left. But those are just minor things. "

"Absolutely beautiful property with tons to do within the property. Well maintained trails perfect for beginners. The staff was very professional and pleasant. Free activities in the lodge were great, especially the guided hike with their very knowledgeable guide. Beautiful surrounding towns. The free breakfast at the restaurant on site was very good. Lunch and dinner on site were expensive so we drove about 10-15 minutes off property and there were tons of options. We booked an economy room in the casona with a shared restroom and it was lovely. Will definitely return."

"This property was a dream. We loved the beautiful view, the rooms were clean, large outdoor patios with 2 chairs, the staff was polite and accommodating. It’s about a 25 minute drive to downtown Fortuna so close enough to visit during the day, but far enough that you aren’t in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Everything was just wonderful "

"You cannot beat the views from the property. Staff was super friendly and food was really good. They have a good breakfast with variety of options. It is about 10 minutes from town so you would need a car or to get a taxi every time you go. Ubers are cheaper. Room was great and spacious, my kids loved the jacuzzi in the room. The only downside is that the tv is out of date and small."

"The receptionist at the desk was very helpful, she even helped us schedule several tours. The place is very peaceful, though a bit far from the Fortuna town (25min drive, approximately). We knew this, so we didn’t mind. But it’s something to keep in mind. Breakfast at the restaurant was good. "
