"Spent a week here and enjoyed it. Liked the location, as it is close enough to the tourist area, but far enough away to leave the crowds behind. The street is very quiet (a dead end). Very close to a large supermarket and the street the supermarket is on is a bustling neighborhood area. Actually had great ramen there. It is located in Soho, a trendy area near the ocean, with restaurants, cafes, a supermarket etc., within a short walk of just about everything in central Malaga. "Hostal Romerito is a perfect spot to stay for few days in Malaga. 15 min from the centre by bus, bus 20 is regular even weekend and evening time. The hostal is spotless clean and staff is really nice. The place is great you can rest as much as you need as it’s silent too."

"The best part of this hotel is Scottish/Spanish Dave at the front desk. He was so welcoming, informative, and friendly. This is a great hotel for the rooftop bar/lounge. The walls are rather thin. "Be aware that there is no front desk and the building isn't clearly marked. You can only get in by calling and receiving codes for the doors. I really don't like that at all. My phone battery was nearly dead and I was stressed about getting into the building and getting the codes in time. Old Malaga was great, but make sure you take the correct bridge to cross over and get there and back. I missed the bridge and spent a long time crossing over and walking back to the building.
