Had a great couple days up on the mountain! As the reviews have all said.... definitely need a 4wd, truck, or SUV to access the cabin. The roads are steep and the gravel is worn into trenches. It didn’t snow, but rained during our stay and it was rough. Cabin is isolated and has all the necessary items to make for a wonderful stay. As long as you have your groceries you wouldn’t need to leave. We enjoyed the hot tub almost daily. We did have some issues with the heat. The loft area was always hot, middle floor was just right, but basement was hard to keep warm enough to be comfortable. We had to keep the heat up high to have it warm downstairs. Our other issue was the cabin needs some serious cleaning. We have to pay the cleaning fee I understand and I am sure this is done by a third party company. We happened to drop something under the bed and when we looked we were disgusted. We found glucose monitors, water bottles, trash and enough dust to prove it hasn’t been touched in a long time. We looked throughout and every room was the same. The carpets all had pet hair on them. The floors could use a good cleaning and a thorough dusting within the entire cabin. We aren’t OCD, but we have some standards that aren’t exceedingly high. I think the rental company isn’t getting their monies worth. We would come back again, but prefer to be a little cleaner.
