300 steps from the beach! 50MBPS. 15 minutes to the world famous Pavones Break. Completely fenced and private. Watchman lives across the street who is available anytime. You can hire her to cook you a fabulous Costa Rican meal! She is very well connected and can help with any activities or information you need. SUP paddle boarding, surfboard rentals, hikes, waterfalls, restaurants, markets & more. Hire local neighbor for horseback rides and fishing.

Tropical, romantic beach cabin within walk to epic surf, sits just steps from a virtually private sandy beach! The home is surrounded by the jungle thus not able to see ocean.

Recently renovated and expanded, this beautiful beach house has it all! A slate bathroom with 2 person luxury tub filled by waterfall, modern stainless steel kitchen appliances, cherry stained teak cabinets, custom made tropical wood dining and bedroom furnishings, plus a 20 foot stretch built in sofa.

The entrance boasts a brand new hand laid brick driveway. The house is air conditioned on both the first and second levels with ceiling fans throughout. The ground floor features a grand span of sliding glass doors that open onto a covered lanai providing shade and cooling breezes. The second story has a spacious master suite bedroom which features 4 queen beds, 1 king bed, plus a 1/2 bath with a window wall of sliding glass doors leading out to a brand new covered deck with hammocks overlooking the garden below. 2 custom made bunk beds. 4 beds are queens. And 1 king. The second floor is only accessible by stairs outside.

We do allow dogs for a small pet fee of $50 per dog.

It is perfect for a romantic couple, groups of friends, individuals or a family. Rare heated outdoor shower, lush cushy grass, pink ginger and hibiscus flowers surround. Large Bodega (garage), fence and friendly neighbors. This home includes a full size laundry room with washer/dryer. This house is only 200 meters (300 foot steps!) from a secluded beach where you can spend hours walking along the shoreline or relax sitting in the shade of a coconut tree as the stresses of the modern world melt away.

Guests will have access to the beach by opening the man gate and walking 300 steps! Access to all amenities of the house. You will be given the wifi password when you arrive.

There is a house watchman, Sagrario, across the street, who is available everyday if you have any issues. She will be there to give you the keys, show you the house and get you acquainted with the area. She is available for hire to cook delicious Costa Rican food as you wish. And she is very well connected in the area and can help with any activities you may be interested in. SUP paddle boarding lessons, surfboard rentals, horseback rides through the mountains or on the beach, hikes, waterfalls, fishing and more..

The house is located in a very small village called Langostino (Little Lobster Village) located in Pilon of Pavones. This small village is located just 15 minutes from the town center of Pavones and 15 minutes from Zancudo beach. All the locals are super friendly and welcome tourists from around the world. Keep in mind the pace of life is slow. Pavones is home to the 2nd longest left break in the world. Zancudo beach also has great surfing. And there are several other breaks around the area.

Many locals walk, bike, or use motorized bikes to get around. We recommend renting a car. But you can rent a bike or ATV in Pavones. You can take a taxi from Golfito airport to house for about $80.

Please keep in mind the area is rural. The internet speed is fast but when there is weather it can be spotty or even not work. The power can go out occasionally with bad weather.

In this area of Costa Rica there are no addresses. It's the way of the Jungle! When you arrive you will contact Sagrario and she will meet you at the house. We will arrange these details prior to your visit, make this easy for you and accommodate your schedule.

There are several restaurants in Pavones and Zancudo, all just minutes from the house. Our favorite is Amigos Escondidos. We like Tico Mex. And there are a few small supermarkets in town as well. There are no "gas stations" in town; however, there are a couple of markets who sell gasoline and diesel fuel. Sagrario can give you those details when you arrive.

We suggest you fly into San Jose then fly to Golfito using Sansa airlines.

Best place to rent a car is from Enterprise in Golfito Marina. You could take the bus from Golfito to Pavones and rent a bike or ATV. If you take a bus from Golfito it will be very difficult for you to find a ride to the house. There are no taxis in Pavones but you might be able to catch a ride or walk about 30 min to the house.

Restaurants and groceries are about a 5-10min drive, walking is doable but I wouldn't recommend it as that would be a pretty long walk. They are all located in the town of Pavones and also in the town of Zancudo, which is the opposite direction of Pavones. And there is also a few small markets in both Pavones and Zancudo that have all the essentials to cook at the house. The largest market of them all is located in Pavones.

Tap water is perfectly fine to drink.

Pavones has really big waves. But the beach directly in front of the house is much, much calmer with little to no waves. And when you are in the town of Pavones, there is a huge river mouth that lets into the Pacific right at Pavones point break. And as the river lets in, the water has created itself a big fresh water lagoon that is very calm and safe. You will always finding a handful of children swimming and playing in the water there. And its beautiful, right on the beach, surrounded by Jungle..

Pleasant and lovely
We stayed here the end of February 2023 (we just realized we forgot to let a review. Sorry about that.) We love this place and this area more every time we come here and this was our third stay. We love the addition of the new outdoor shower. Every day there were so many macaws out by beach. A sloth was also hanging out close by. There are alot of different birds too.

Close, clean and quiet
I’m always looking for a new place to stay that isn’t populated with tourists. Away from the hustle and bustle of life back home. Surrounded by friendly locals going about their day. The close proximity to the beach and a few fun surf breaks is key for me and these are reasons why I’ll come back again.

Once again, wonderful experience
Our second time at this property and hope to return in the future. Relaxing place, lots of birds can be seen from the upper porch, howler monkeys morning and evening, short walk to deserted beach. Went out fishing for a day with a local fisherman, great experience. Sagragrio, the caretaker, is great. She prepared dinner for us on 2 evenings, so delicious. We have stayed in touch with her from last year and consider her a friend. Love this part of Costa Rica, authentic feel, locals are friendly.

Pura Vida Paradise 🌞
The house and location were absolutely beautiful! We did get a little lost though...we printed off driving direction to the GPS coordinates which ended at a field just shy of the house, so we turned around and unknowingly went back the wrong way! Once we found the house, Sagrario was very helpful and she even cooked a couple of delicious meals for us! Short easy walk to a secluded beach. We had no idea how much we rely on WiFi (for directions, translations, etc) until we landed in Costa Rica and no longer had it or cell service, so we really appreciated the WiFi at the house as a great way to connect with our kids back home. We felt very safe and secure during our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a trip to the Pavones or Playa Zancudo area. Thank you so much to Jennifer and Sagrario for being gracious hosts for this once-in-a-lifetime trip!

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay this property . We were here for 9 nights and before we came we thought maybe that was too long, but no, not long enough! We spent lots of time in the hammocks, walking on the beach, swimming, driving to Pavones and Punta Banco. Also went snorkeling at Punta Banco The neighbor, Anllelo arranged a fishing day for us and that was a memorable day, we caught more fish than we could eat, saw dolphins, a sea turtle and beautiful scenery south of Punta Banco. Would highly recommend fishing. Sagragrio , the caretaker is a real jewel. She prepared a fish dinner with the fish we caught on 2 different nights and they were absolutely amazing!! Also made ceviche for us, which was soo good. We would return just for her cooking, haha. This is not a luxury property, but has a great beach vibe, the area is not touristy and feels more like authentic Costa Rica.Locals are very friendly. Very comfortable, air conditioning worked great and was much appreciated. Hope to return again sometime.

An amazing stay!
We had the best time at Langostino. Walking to the beach everyday was such a pleasure. We saw monkeys, coati’s, toucans, and one day had 5 scarlet macaws fly over head. Truly magical! The tica across the street was the sweetest lady I have ever met. She washed our laundry, raked the yard, cooked a fabulous meal one night, brought us coconuts (while we were just waking up) brought over freshly made salsa and patacones and so much more! Besides all this awesomeness, the area is fantastic! Serene beaches and no people, sometimes for days. We loved Langostino and already can’t wait to return!

Relaxing place for families who enjoy nature without all the noise of tourist traps
Pure nature with calm waves and shallow waters. Doña Sagrario and her family and gracious hosts. The home is clean and well stocked with supplies. We would definitely go again.

Private Beach
My husband and I had an amazing time in Costa Rica-this house was incredible-large and open- we loved relaxing on the deck in the hammocks-it was very clean and had all the amenities to cook at home if you wanted. Great air conditioning- it was 90 degrees during our stay so the cool house was so nice. The outside and inside showers were fantastic. The private beach was absolutely incredible-literally 300 steps from the house. We spent hours relaxing and swimming-I would recommend staying for at least a week-the location is secluded and it is a long drive if you are looking to do activities like horseback riding, ziplining, etc. which is why I recommend the longer stay. I also wanted to note that Sagrario, who is the caretaker of the property and your contact person does not speak any English, so if you do not speak Spanish, you can use a translator app on your phone. She was very nice and accommodating. We loved our stay and loved the house-it was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Very relaxing. All my needs
Really nice area. Not your regular tourist area. House was very clean. Good A/C. The woman who watches the house was very accommodating. Made us gallo pinto, scrambled egg and plantains delicious for breakfast. The yard was nicely landscaped and the beach a two minute walk down the nature filled trail. Saw a Two toed sloth. The owner Jennifer answers any messaging immediately. Very Safe Area. More than I expected.
