「While maybe not exactly what I was expecting, this little barn house stay was great for our family holiday travel (with our dogs) to such a beautiful area. Very country cute. Remote. Had all amenities. Very thoughtful hosts. Quick and attentive support. Only suggestion, given closeness to road would have been nice to have a small fenced area outside for dogs.Still, a great little stay.」

「While the location was beautiful the house was less than ideal. From broken glass in the yard to mold growing on ducttape on the ceiling, roaches in the kitchen, stained sheets and mattresses this place was not what we expected! We were going to try to make the space work and see it as a glass half full however when several of my kids were having coughing fits because of the mold we had to leave.」

「A magical farm you won't want to leave! Plenty of room to roam and sit outside to enjoy nature during the day. At night we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub under the lit pergola. Slept like a baby on a very comfortable bed and loved that we had the option for A/C or a fan and that we could open the "garage" door on the unit for fresh air if we wanted. And finally, the best part of Alpine South, the family who runs it. They make you feel like you're staying with old friends from the moment...

「Our overall impression of this place can be summed up in two words; absolutely amazing! These mountain retreats are a retreat in so many ways. The views are spectacular. I’m not a morning person, but I set the alarm for a little before sunrise and was not disappointed. We did beautiful time lapsed videos both days and it is almost surreal knowing you are just a few miles from Saluda, and yet you feel you’re being given your personal view to the calm and awe inspiring sunrise. And the dawn chorus...
