We have been staying here for 20+ years. The service is always excellent, the resort is in a prime location, most rooms have lake views. Cozy fires in the lobby during the fall & winter.
The resort properties are, however, starting to show their age. The Lake House needs a makeover.
Friendly and attentive staff from front desk to housekeeping. Very clean room with beautiful view. Full use of all amenities offered by High Peaks. Walking distance to downtown shops & restaurants. Great stay!
When we arrived at the High peaks Lakehouse, we were confused of where to check in, we had to go across the street to the bigger hotel, and we had a little bit of a tough time finding which door to go into to our hotel room because you come in the back of the hotel but once we went in, we were pleasantly surprised how pretty the room was and had a beautiful view of the lake, the beds were super comfortable, and the room was very roomy and clean. The only thing I didn’t like were the dark colors in the room, but that’s just a matter of preference if we are ever in the area again I would definitely stay there.!
Like: the View from the rooms, size of rooms
Did not like: no morning buffet breakfast, very limited vegetarian food options, no water bottles in room, limited toiletries in room( coming from Asia may be my expectation is too much for USA)
The room was clean and very spacious for our anniversary trip. We were greeted warmly at the front desk with champagne and given a map and information. The food was great and was comparable in price and quality to all other local restaurants. The location was great with access to Mirror Pond right across the street. It was worth every penny we paid.
Cute place, nice room. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi sucked. No connection, kicked you off frequently. Was there for a wedding, but needed to sign into work. Otherwise great place, beautiful view.
