Clean, well furnished, and quiet. Kitchen and Bathroom were set up nice, and never had an issue with plumbing or hot water. Bed was comfortable and A/C and heat were available, but didn’t need either. The rail trail along Lake Clear is literally across the road, accessible for walking or biking. Shawn and Mindy (hosts) are super friendly, excellent communicators, very organized, and have a bike and kayak for your use. Got a kick out of the chickens that came over and greeted me each evening at the end of the day. Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid are all nearby, and each a great little town with unique character. The three nights I stayed were very enjoyable, would definitely come back.

We loved this place! Cutest little tiny cabin with all the amenities: super comfy bed, nice shower, basic kitchen for cooking with dishes and pots/pans; screened in porch for when the bugs were out, fire pit with super comfy Adirondack chairs (wood provided for one fire). Also comes with heat and AC but we didn’t need either. Cabin is across the road from a great rail-to trail walking/biking path that also goes along Lake Clear. Access to the lake for swimming is about a 1/4 -1/2 mile walk down the trail and then along a lovely path through the woods. Owner also provides kayaks and bikes but we didn’t take advantage— we just walked and swam. The chickens on site are adorable and very sociable — and we got a few yummy eggs for breakfast! Winnie the Pooch is a super sweet dog who gave us lots of love. Shawn and Mindy (?) are absolutely lovely and very helpful. 100% will come stay again. For motorcyclists like us, the site is right off route 30, driveway is gravel but pretty short and not very steep; very accessible.
