The Lairg Highland Hotel Is a pleasant place to spend a day or two. Although it's an older hotel, the rooms are in very good condition and very clean. Some people might find the shower a bit too tiny and the bathroom a bit too compact but otherwise It was very good value for money.

We were a last minute book and checkin and it was seamless from beginning to end. Lovely front counter gent and the lady serving dinner on the eatery side was so kind and gentle with my special needs brother. Thank you again for a wonderful experience 🙏

Nice hotel

Nice, cozy location, with a great lake and great views near by. Room was a bit small, but it was a single room, probably double rooms are bigger. Breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately didn't had dinner, as i forgot to book.

Save of the day

Very nice traditional hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Special mention to Linda and Ann(e) who recovered my dropped wallet and went out of their way to find me and save my trip ☺️. I was 10 miles down the road on my bike and had no idea 🤦

The staff were friendly and respectful. The food was good. I had Haddock and Chips, which sounds simple but so often people get it wrong. Here it was well prepared, good firm Haddock, crispy chips, peas that were not overcooked and homemade Tartare sauce and Coleslaw, which I appreciated, I really enjoyed it. My room was warm and the heating controllable. The room was over the main road but there was no noise.

Would stay again.

Parking is street parking right in front of the hotel. I'm no expert on furnishing but it seemed to have the original furniture and fittings from when the hotel was launched decades ago. And here's the thing it was all still in good condition and very clean. The mattress was a bit soft for me but hey ho. If you don't order everything for breakfast then the plate looks empty. I would defo stay again its got everything you need. WiFi not the best.

Great little hotel.

Very welcoming arrival and nice friendly staff. Comfortable room and food was very good. Considering this trip was out of the traditional season and with Covid measures still in please they hotel facilities and staff made the short stay very comfortable. I will definitely use this hotel again. Hopefully next time I might have chance to explore the lovely surroundings and Loch as well.

Character with comfort

It's an old building, but freshly refurbished inside. Because of that, the rooms and passages are a funny shape. I didn't have any problems with noise or with the cleanliness of my room / common areas during my stay.

We had been unable stay on the NC500 route since many hotels we're already booked up or had closed for the year due to Covid. It meant doing a few extra miles for us since we stayed two days and travelled to each destination from there. The hotel is really clean and very efficient without losing their friendly touch.
