Super friendly staff, very attentive and accommodating. Unexpected large rooms, cold and quiet A/C. Great breakfast and food. Best value for money in the Portugal coast. Will recommend to anyone going to the Praia de Luz area. Will come back!

L’hôtel est très bien, la piscine est tellement belle, ça fait du bien s’y rafraîchir après une journée au soleil. Nous avions une chambre avec cuisine, le seul élément négatif est qu’il n’y avait pas de cafetière

Muy Bueno.

El Hotel es muy bueno. Sólo tengo dos observaciones: Hicimos una reserva para un taxi bien temprano en la mañana, y el señor se le olvidó. Al salir temprano en la mañana nos encontramos con todas las luces de las áreas comunes apagadas. Fue muy incomodo caminar con maletas en medio de la oscuridad.

Beautiful place! When we first arrived I was in love. However the administration did not communicate well with the customer so we did not know requirements of our stay so things did not work out well. Did not really feel welcome from the admin although housekeeping was most considerate. The are is beautiful but you do need a vehicle. Beautiful beaches in Lagos and Lux!

There hasn´t been anybody for checking-in. The appart. was open. Breakfast very late, € 11,00. / People there no friendly at all. Rooms were ok. Simpel, very cold (June). It´s 8 km from Lagos, up the hill, very very windy. Pool so cold, no chance. By leaving, there was nobody there. Very strange ….. wouldn´t recommend it at all.

Paisible et chaleureux. A à peine 5 minute de Lagos et des plages de Luz en voiture, 30 min à pieds. Un accueil cordial. Un petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Nous avons eu le plaisir de manger dans un petit restaurant vraiment typique, autant par les plats que par l'ambiance que met la patronne (Casa do Zé). Un séjour en couple vraiment génial. Merci encore à l’équipe du Montinho de Ouro. Muito obrigada a toda a equipa du Montinho de Ouro. Passamos uma semana excelente.

Selvtillid uden årsag

Jovist var de venlige, men da vi bad om et askebæger, forlangte de 10 euro i depositum. Morgenmad koster 10 euro pr. person, og internet skal der også betales for. Sengen var en anelse klam da værelset åbenbart havde stået uden varme i lænere tid, og varmt vand (til bad) forefindes kun om morgenen. Om aftenen var det kun lunkent. Der er fred og ro, og hotellet ligger langt fra alt. Der er ingen indkøbsmuligheder inden for fem km radius. Ej heller aktiviteter af nogen art. Medbring cykel eller bil, ellers er du lost.

Lovely, relaxing and quiet retreat.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Came to meet us when we arrived late and lost! Beautiful location, if not a little isolated. Very friendly atmosphere. You feel as though you are receiving personal treatment. For an escape, we would recommend it highly.

Hübsch angelegte ruhige Oase

Etwas vom Strand entfernt, deshalb sehr ruhig und somit zum Entspannen genial. Sehr nette Leitung des Hauses. Wünsche werden erfüllt. Sämtliches Personal sehr positiv zu bewerten. Ein wunderschön angelegter Garten als hervorragender Blick vo der Terrasse Die Anlage ist sehr ordentlich. Die Apartments sind sehr großzügig und die Terrasse gleich in Poolnähe.

Excellent hotel - a bit isolated

We had an excellent stay in a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent. and right beside a fantastic pool. I would go back but i would hire a car. although the bus stop to Lagos is near by its a very dark walk.

Nette gepflegte Anlage

Nur die Anweisung, dass unser Besuch (den wir zum Essen in unser Appartment eingeladen hatten) nur eine halbe Stunde bleiben darf, fanden wir SEHR SEHR unangebracht. Ist ja kein Krankenhaus oder Gefängnis!!!!

in den Bergen von Luz ......

schwierig zu finden, aber gute Lage in den "Bergen" von Luz. Kleine, familiäre gepflegte Anlage, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, im Pool kann man sich auch mal abends und nachts abkühlen. Mit dem Auto (absolut notwendig) schnelle Anbindung an die Nationalstraße nach Lagos 10 Min. oder an die Westküste 30 Min. Auch Luz selbst bietet alles was der Urlauber braucht, genialer Strand und Spaziergang bis Praia de Mos in Lagos über die Felsküste.

Montinho - comfort and service

An excellent hotel with friendly staff and superb facilities. Although I stayed at a quiet time there was still attentive staff on hand to help. ie arrived late evening - they opened the bar for me, wanted laundry - next day shirts come back clean and ironed. Will be back! Only minor niggle was wifi service did not reach my room.

Decisamente consigliabile, rapporto qualità prezzo elevato, ottima anche la cena a prezzo veramente basso. Unico piccolo neo:c'è stato un po' da faticare per trovarlo.

L'hôtel est dépaysant, quand on arrive, on se croirait à Marrakech tellement c'est fleuri et coloré, puis l'intérieur des chambres est plutôt dans le style zen oriental... une petite terrasse privative pour chacune des chambres qui permet de profiter de la douceur des nuits Portugaises et du calme de la montagne, le tout à seulement 5 minutes en voiture de la plage De Luz... le personnel est adorable, gentil, serviable, aux petits soins... Séjour merveilleux!!!!! et pas cher!!!

There are problems

The major problem whilst we were there was the consistently fluctuating power supply. This applied to the majority of the rooms in the hotel. Lights would frequently grow dim then brighten and there were many power cuts. Similarly heating the room using the air conditioner became difficult. This made relaxation impossible. When we arrived the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working. It took 3 days to fit a replacement. This meant that any showers taken in the first few days led to the room becoming damp for lengthy periods. The hotel was about 45 minutes walk from Luz, but a significant part did not have street lighting. As we had no torch we decided not to have an evening drink in the local bars. I certainly wouldn't risk driving the car under the influence. I'm sure that if the holiday had been later in the year the faults described would have seemed less important, The days would have been lighter and warmer. The hotel itself could be described as a 'gem' but only if it sorts out its electricity supply!

Très belle piscine,petit dejeuner 5.5€ convenable, situation géographique compliquée au niveau de l accès routier,beaucoup de personnes autour de la piscine fauteuil reservé très tot le matin par famille portugaise en vacances ce qui rend la piscine moins agréable (heureusement belle plage à l ouest en direction de sagres)équipement intérieur des studios quelconque qui ne justifie en aucun cas 3 étoiles et le prix affiché en conclusion avis mitijé sur l'hébergement
