From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely lady who assisted us with all the formalities. Our room was in excellent condition with a beautiful sea view and was cleaned daily. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast throughout our stay. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were fantastic, and we also spent some relaxing time at the bar. I would like to thank the staff, who always greeted us with a warm smile, making our stay even more enjoyable. The only improvement I would suggest is better signage to the reception. While it’s fairly obvious, it can be a bit confusing. We spent some time figuring it out, especially since the automatic door took a while to open.

Our stay at the resort was wonderful. The staff was exceptional and very lovely to us. There are several beaches within walking distance. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. I would recommend this resort and we will definitely be returning for another trip.

Gorgeous location

The place is at a gorgeous location. The hotel is good in general. Having two single bed to simulate a bigger one not nice. Pool, steam and sauna room are great. The restaurant is nice, breakfast is great. The staff is so kind and friendly, always willing to help. I definitely stay here again.

This is an older resort that has been well cared for and updated. It is only a few steps from a beautiful beach. Be aware that you need to establish a line of credit with the front desk if you want to charge things to your room.

My husband and i absolutely loved our stay at Pestana Viking. Everyone in the resort was so nice, helpful and kind. Absolutely breathtaking views! Redonda Cove right behind the resort and other beaches walking distance. Cannot recommend this enough. Thank you guys so much! Can't wait to be back!

Loved every minute

Loved it here. Our room was spotless, serviced every day and very well equipped. Paid extra for sea view and so pleased we did. The location was stunning and within a few minutes walk of excellent beaches and restaurants. The hotel food was really good too. Without exception all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would come back in a heart beat.

Amazing place to stay!

The view from balcony sea view very nice! Room spacious! The grounds where fantastic! Pool, view, lots of lounge chairs by the pool, pool bar! Buffet breakfast, very good and staff amazing! Walking distance to beach! On right tunnel through to a another beach! Incredible! Boat ride to caves! Unreal!

A really lovely place to stay. Our room, on the top floor, had wonderful sea and coastal views. Great walks to the beaches and plenty of sunbeds in the gardens. Indoor and outdoor pools. Great staff too. We had one silly problem as, on day one, their credit card system would not work so our purchases of drinks was not recorded! Eventually they did get it to work.

It was quiet when we came. Breakfast excellent, rooms comfy. We were upgraded and gad an amazing view. The sauna was nor working and the hot tub not hot. The pools are beautiful but were not heated. Steam room was warm. Everything else was excellent.

To positives; Nice grounds, I was there in winter so place was relatively dead, not many restaurants open etc. But it was nice to walk to 2 beaches very close buy. Nice morning buffett THe negative: This is supposed to be a non smoking in the rooms hotel(not sure how well this was enforced) but apparently allowed to smoke on balconies. If I had known that I probably wouldn't; have stayed there. My room had not been smoked in but the ventilation system would bring smoke into the room from apparently adjacent rooms.I am highly sensitive to cigarette smoke so I requested a room change that was granted so that was nice. But haviing to deal with the smoke temporarily was definitely a negative for me.

Good for price

Overall our stay at the Pentasa was good. The breakfast had a good selection but you need to go early if possible to avoid waiting for a table. The location was good and easy access to the beach providing you have no mobility issues. The indoor pool was great especially as we had a particularly rainy day but the pool could do with being a few degrees warmer as I found it uncomfortable. The steam room was lovely. The rooms could do with a bit of an update in decor, we had the superior suite which had a queen size bed and roll out bed from under the sofa. This was comfortable enough for my daughter but you could not sit comfortably on the actual sofa itself. Our fridge did not close properly but was not an issue for us as only stored drinks in this. The kitchenette was basic but again had no need to use this. The view from our room was lovely. For the price I paid I thought it was good. I would return again but would like to see some improvement to the rooms. It would also be nice to be provided with a do not disturb sign for the door to avoid being disturbed by the cleaning team when you showering etc. Also only on street parking available.
