The cabin provided us a perfect location where we had lots of privacy and a beautiful setting to hang out and enjoy being a family. 「This property served as a fantastic base camp for our annual trip to the north woods. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. On the first night, we noticed the exterior lights were not working. I contacted the host, and he had them repaired by the next day. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The bonus was the sunsets over the lake. 」

「The bathrooms were updated. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There were a lot of neat decorations. The kitchen was well equipped. The dock was brand new. Had fun using the kayak. We bobber fished off the pier and caught bluegill, sunfish, large mouth, and small mouth bass. No keepers but very enjoyable. We saw eagles 3 times. Also, saw a woodpecker about the size of a raven that was all black with a red head. A hummingbird came up to one of our house guests within 6 feet....

「If you are a water bug or avid fisher, you couldn't ask for a better spot! The fishing was wonderful -- we were catching bluegills even off the dock. The lake was gorgeous and the cabin very neat and clean.I did read the reviews ahead of time and knew that "sleeps five" was a bit of a stretch, so I'm glad it was only two of us. While technically you could squeeze two more on the reclining sofa (super comfy to nap on!), it would be a tight squeeze, especially if you needed to stay indoors because...

「A perfect vacation house on Fence Lake for our family of 17 adults and children. The double-wide pier, fire pit, and deck somewhat elevated over the lake with clear views make for a wonderful outdoor experience. Newly remodeled bathrooms are a nice addition to the comfortable, spacious living quarters. We booked this property again, for the third consecutive year.」

「We found our stay at Wisconsin Hideaway to be exactly what we needed. The house is clean with a mostly secluded backyard. We had one hiccup at check-in mostly due to my error. Both the owner and host were kind and prompt in response to questions or concerns. If you don't need/want to be on a lake, this is a great location!」

「GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future. 」

「Very clean, very cozy, very new cabin right on the lake with it's own dock! Unfortunately, while we were there, there was a very significant algae bloom on the lake (looked exactly like pea soup), and we were told not to swim in it. HUGE disappointment as that's specifically why we spent the extra $ to rent on the lake! Not the owner's fault, but just make sure you call ahead to see about the water quality before you make a commitment! It's a lot of $ to spend to not be able to use the lake....
