Our experience at Hotel & Casa Valamar Sanfior left much to be desired. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a strong chemical odor that was quite unpleasant to endure. Additionally, the toilet emitted a smell of stale urine, which was very off-putting. The Wi-Fi was inaccessible throughout our entire stay, which proved to be particularly frustrating as business travelers. While the dinner was adequate, the atmosphere in the restaurant was excessively loud and uncomfortable. It was disruptive to have plates cleared while some guests were still eating. Breakfast offered a wide selection, but we were dismayed by the behavior of some guests who were seen finger-dipping into the food without any intervention from the staff, which was unhygienic. Overall, the staff (except the one`s at the desk) seemed unfriendly - they hardly laughed or looked friendly. Based on these experiences, we cannot recommend Hotel & Casa Valamar Sanfior.

the good: very friendly staff, good location however be aware that the beach is full of rocks that can be dangerous to children if there are waves. the sea is beautiful, very clean water. 5* for the lady who greets guests at dinner, incredible attitude and genuine, loved meeting her daily! the bad: room and the furniture is more like a 3 star hotel (although it has some ingenious features like a location for bags under the closet, AC that runs on low when not in the room). the hallways look really bad (no lights or broken lights, broken ceiling). Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything above and next to you, we were lucky that we didn't have noisy guests near us. the food: there's a lot on offer (maybe too much) however the quality of ingredients is questionable, we tried many things and some tasted bad or were very bland. the coffee is simply bad, worse then supermarket coffee - not uncommon in Croatia (we asked for coffee from the bar at an extra price and it tasted exactly the same). The juices at the machine are simply horrible, my suggestion is to remove these altogether. With all this said, there was something OK to eat every day. If management would focus more on quality and less on quantity I'm sure the guests would appreciate it.

Die Lage ist toll! Das Meer ist sehr sauber! Auf den Hotelflächen, im Swimmingpool und der Parkfläche befinden sich viele Personen, die nicht zu den buchenden Gästen gehören. Das Hotel ist renovierungsbedürftig, allerdings hoffe ich, dass es den Charme eines kleinen gemütlichen Hotels behält! Wir waren in der Casa untergebracht und nicht im Hauptgebäude! Zum Glück für uns!

Rundum positiver Urlaub. + Tolles, sauberes und ruhiges Zimmer + Hotel und auch die Umgebung sehr sauber. + Frühstück- und Abendbuffet sehr lecker, genug Auswahl und Abends auch abwechslungsreich, wird schnell nachgefüllt. + Strand und Wasser MEGA. Verschiedene Arten von Zugängen. + kostenloser Parkplatz - Parkplätze muss man ganz schön lange suchen, sind einfach zu wenige. - Abends beim Buffet sehr viele Leute, aber man bekommt immer einen Platz, zur Not drinnen. - Liegen werden auch hier wieder reserviert (die kostenlosen) :/ 9Uhr war nichts mehr frei. Kann aber das Hotel nur teilweise was dafür. Es sind die Urlauber die heutzutage jeglichen Anstand verlieren.

Wir haben uns aufgrund der Bewertungen und des Holidaycheck Award 2024 leider zu viel erwartet.. Die Renovierung ist recht oberflächlich, es gibt noch sehr viel zu tun: deutlich erkennbare Wasserschäden in den Gängen. Der Stiegenturm zum Spa ist sehr kaputt, Teppichböden im Zimmer und Gängen, kaputte Vorhänge usw. Sehr enttäuscht waren wir vom Essen: das Buffet ist viel zu eng. Im geschlossenen Raum wurde viel frisch stark angebraten, was zu verrauchten Räumen und Gestank führte. Die Auswahl war ok, aber großteils geschmacklos und Surimi (Shrimps-Imitat) als frittierte Shrimps am Meer anzubieten geht gar nicht. Das Personal war zu knapp besetzt, so dass sich die Teller immer wieder stapelten oder gar keine Getränke bestellt werden konnten. Es gab gratis Saftspender, was super war. Leider gab es meist keine Gläser und ein paar Säfte ließen sich nicht bedienen aufgrund von notwendiger Reingung. Bei der Olive Bar gab es über 5 Tage lang nur 2/3 der Karte, weil sie keine Lieferung erhalten würden!? Die positiven Punkte: super schöne Meeresbuchten. Die Liegen am Hotelpool mit der Aussicht sind toll. Die Strandiegen mit Schirm am Meer in der ersten Reihe haben nur 12€/Tag gekostet. Gratis Parkplatz. Sehr gute frisch gebackene Pizza abends. Fazit: für ein solides 3 Sterne Hotel ok, für 4 Sterne passen einige Punkte wie Servicepersonal, Essen, Hotelzustand nicht.

Unterkunft sehr schön gelegen, sehr schöne Promenade und sehr gut gestalteter Meer-Zugang (einziges "Minus": die Sonnenliegen sind kostenpflichtig, allerdings Preis OK). Zimmer sind geräumig, Reinigung wenn gewünscht täglich (aber auch abbestellbar, sehr gut!) und sehr gründlich. Zustand der Anlage gut, anständig renoviert, Poolmöglichkeiten (Hotel und Casa) ausreichend (allerdings durchgehend 1,35m Tiefe in Haupt-Pool, dh kleiner Kinder könnnen nirgends stehen). Restaurant sehr "durchschnittlich", Preis (HP 3 Pers. 300 Euro)/ Leistung stimmt hier ausdrücklich nicht, vegetarisches Angebot sehr beschränkt. Kaffee leider überhaupt nicht gut und auch zu wenige Maschinen. Service im Restaurant ausgezeichnet! Service an Rezeption "ausbaufähig", häufig nicht hilfreich. Keine Ausflugs-Prospekte, keine Beratung, obwohl das entsprechende Schild (Valamar Experience Concierge) noch hängt. Auch kein unaufgeforderter Hinweis auf Angebote der benachbarten Valamar Hotels (wie zBsp Minigolf). Insgesamt muss man sagen: Hotel gut, Essen durschnittlich, Service mit Licht und Schatten, Preis-Leistung für Hochsaison schlecht (min. 100/ Nacht zu viel), Nebensaison sicher besser.

Fint ophold. Fik dog først et virkelig dårligt værelse ud mod gården hvor restauranten ligger og der sidder ca. Ca. 100 mennesker to gange dagligt. Der var ej heller altan. Sød receptionist hjalp med en opgradering. Hygiejnen ved buffeten er virkelig dårlig, ingen håndsprit i hele restauranten, vores bud er at der 250 mennesker der spiser der. Så ikke persobalet udskifte tagtøj(skeer mv) til buffeten. Lidt poppet sted, med musik, børneklub mv. Dejlig strande, god snorkling. Svært at få plads ved poolen, da folk ligger deres håndklæder før de egentlig bruger liggestolene, der burde være skilte der henviser til at folk bør lade være. Generelt meget venligt personale.

Väldigt rent o fräscht rum vi var 3 personer sängar var bra men önskade tredje sängen var lite längre det var en bäddsoffa annars var det bra
