Emergency Stairway was locked during the earthquake. Not appreciated using the elevator during a quake. Informed stafff about it but nobody bothered.

The hotel is right next to a large shopping street, so it's extremely convenient. I was also to walk to Kumamoto castle without problems. Check in was quick and the staff were nice. The room was large and quiet, and I really liked the modern interior decorating. There is an onsen on the upper floor, it was clean. However I went late at night so it so it was also a bit crowded. I arrived in the evening and had a rental car, so I had some trouble finding parking. I would recommend looking at an online map for parking areas around the area beforehand. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is clean and tidy. The public bath is great with both indoor and outdoor option. Very convenient spot with great variety of restaurants around and shopping as well. Also close to the main Sakuramachi bus terminal for transportation and tram stop nearby. Would recommend for travellers going to Kumamoto to stay in this hotel.

For the price, the room we got was fantastic. Very spacious, especially for Japanese standards, and looks high-end. The location is also excellent, lots of dining options within a few minutes walk. I have already recommended this hotel to a friend.

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Kumamoto. Check in is unique, as you have to go to the 12th floor. Also the breakfast area gets congested but the food is delicious. The Sky Spa is lovely. You can take an onsen bath and see the view of the city.
