COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't shut down our appetite for exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Find out if any restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to lower it briefly for identification purposes. Anyone refusing to wear a face mask may face civil penalties and may also be escorted from the building.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Instead, place your pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• You're permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. You'll have to remove it for X-ray screening.
