"Incredible spot and home in Crete. It's about a 90 minute drive from Heraklion airport but if you're looking for a spot away from the crowds, this is the place for you (at least at the end of June). Can't say enough about the view and outdoor space. When we were home, we spent almost all of our time outside at the huge table or by the pool. The beach and sea are just a few steps down from the house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and very helpful....

"If you are visiting the Irepetra area of Crete, you can of course stay at one of the fancy resorts right on the water. But if you want a truly unique and memorable experience, THIS is the place to stay. "Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would have preferred a sandy beach, but there is nothing the owner can do about that. The children enjoyed snorkeling by the rocks, and I enjoyed kayaking. Local restaurants were great, we didn't have to drive anywhere to eat in the evenings."

"Very nice hotel for the price. Some nice restaurants nearby. Only issue we had was the number of stray cats around the hotel, who can be too friendly and don't give you any piece when lounging around the pools. It's not pleasant to be sunbathing when a cat jumps on you and sticks their claws into you!!"

"It is one of the most beautiful places we've had the great fortune to experience, and it is so beautiful that we didn't leave the resort during our entire 3-day stay. From start to finish, every detail was considered, and every need was taken care of. The team is welcoming and kind, and the location is absolutely stunning. While visiting with my partner (our kids left at home), we were keenly aware of how family-friendly the resort is, a pro for the many happy groups around us. If you plan to visit in May as we did, know the water will be fresh (!), and private pools might be too chilly to truly enjoy - though they'll still offer the perfect backdrop for some of the best photos you may ever take! We highly recommend Daios Cove."
