"An old school travel hotel with a nice onsen. This was a great jumping off spot to see Lake Mashu observatory, drive down to Sunayu Onsen and dig your own onsen, etc. Staff were friendly, breakfast was traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, nice and easy stay."

"Location is amazing, very isolated (we were happy to get the pick up and drop off, as we don't travel by car). İt snowed over night and we had a nice walk to the lake and lakeside onsen - magical. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of different Japanese breakfast items with view to the snowy forest. However, we couldn't help feeling that our stay was a bit of an inconvenience to the host family, which was not really about language problem.
