When we first arrived we went into front apartment and discovered where was no AC in living area /kitchen and was so hot at 9pm when we arrived we could not sit in there. "Excellent property with one bedroom and bathroom in an annexe. More than enough balcony and solarium areas. The pool was larger than expected. Overall a lovely property. "The villa is part of a small collection of villas and bungalows in a quiet location, with a nice pool. There is a village nearby with shops and tavernas. The property manager, Effie, was responsive and helpful. When we arrived we found there was an issue with the villa that we had booked, which Effie resolved quickly by upgrading us. The property was generally clean but some maintenance is required."

"The property was well built and everything worked as it should. The poolside garden was well maintained with mature shrubs and trees which meant there was always areas of shade to be found which was very handy with little children. The shutters made it very easy to keep the house cool. The property was in a residential area and was very peaceful at night. We’ve been coming to Crete every year for the last twenty years and the villa was definitely one of the best we’ve stayed in. "

"This property was perfect for our large family, it's on 3 floors with 3 separate livingrooms, so everyone can have their own space when they need it. The house is very clean and the property manager was very responsive. There's a taverna in walking distance, Kactus Taverna, Dora who runs it is amazing! There's also a breakfast / coffee place in the village. The villa is about a 7-10 minute drive from the nearest beach."

"This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. The suite we got was huge, (living room, full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs). "Lovely peaceful villa out of the way down a bumpy track (car essential!) Vultures circling overheard, butterflies and goat bells. Beautiful views of sea and mountains. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable lounge with everything you need if the weather is not perfect. There are loud cats that want to be fed. Lovely pool and outside space as well as balconies. We had a very relaxing stay. Our only criticism is that some of the bedrooms are quite musty smelling and very dusty - could do with a deep clean. "

"We had an amazing two week stay in the Myrtia Villa accomodated by the most amazing host George who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed the most of our time. The villa is exactly as pictured and described and had all the necessary amenities for a family visit. It is located on a private driveway with plenty of parking in the heart of the village.The village is small but has plenty of character and the old town of Rethimno and the beaches of Petres and Episkopi are a short car or bus journey. We opted for the heating in the pool and it ensured we could enjoy it throughout the stay no matter the weather. This is a gem of a property and host and we will be recommending to family and friends if they wish to visit Crete. "

"All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were very clean. It was great to have a plunge pool which was larger than we thought and it had a beautiful view of the mountains and water. Having a waterpark was a huge plus for our boys. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the beach facilities were - if choosing all inclusive, you paid for nothing at the beach. There were beautiful covered beds, fruit, drinks, and Prosecco served to you as well as a wonderful beach side bar and restaurant as part of the package; you could also pay as you go and use all beach facilities. While we didn’t use it, there appeared to be plenty of room for chairs by the main pool, and there were always lounge chairs available by the waterslides. Overall, it seemed really well staffed for the number of guests and never felt crowded. There was a wide variety of food every night, always including high quality Greek food, as well as range of other food that made everyone in our family happy. The fruit trays they offer are phenomenal! It was great to be so central for short day trips to Lake Kournas, Chania and Rethymno. Highly recommended. "
