The location is excellent with a metro station and the tram nearby and it's just a 7 minute walk to the Acropolis Museum. All this at a very reasonable price for a central Athens location. "

"The Athens Gate was an excellent choice for us. Superb location - right near the Acropolis and the Plaka.
The views from the rooftop restaurant were amazing!
Breakfast was good, many selections.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful.
Our original flight was cancelled and we came in to Athens 17 hours later than expected. They made sure our room was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We were able to eat breakfast, take a shower and grab a little nap. Then we went out to see some of the sights we had missed the previous day.
Definitely recommend this hotel, whether you’re in Athens for an extended vacation or if you’re transferring to the cruise port."

"Perfectly located hotel in the Plaka! We were able to walk nearly everywhere and the Metro station was just around the corner. Breakfast each morning was very good with lots of variety. The hotel felt very safe for me traveling with just my teenage son, and the staff was amazingly kind and helpful anytime we had a question about the area. I would definitely stay here again! "
