周辺情報

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. First Time in OBX

Had a wonderful stay and loved the location. For our 1st time in OBX was happy with our choice. Wish check in was keyless. Some things I would change Shower rod needs to be replaced and door knobs on outside (rusted) and could use a TV in other bedroom. Otherwise great location and loved the beach access.

Close to beach. Property is dated. Beds were comfortable. Washer and dryer are rusted on the inside so I was afraid to wash clothes. Large number of flies around laundry area and entrance. Dirty fly strips hanging around parking area.

First stay

Dave's condo was a great stay! Open, light second floor with the kitchen, dining room, living room and a deck that gives a couple ocean views. Bedrooms and bathrooms were easy to travel to and from and even had their own floor. Beach was a 30 second walk up steps to the dune that drop you right onto a great location for relaxing. Short drive to Corolla, and downtown Duck. Thanks, Dave!

Great location so close to the beach

This is our third girls trip to OBX. Steps away from the beach is right! We were so close to the ocean which is exactly what we were looking for. A couple things to note. The wifi and cable were spotty at best if you need to access internet for work or anything else just keep that in mind. Also, the condo number was not listed on the booking, but after a couple of phone calls we were able to figure it out, Also, the name was under the condo owner and not our name on the reservation. It was great being able to explore another part of the outer banks. Parasailing and a wine tour were only a few minutes drive away. Great food and so much more so close by. We had s great time!
