Clean, and comfortable. Was not expecting a full size fridge and stove, so it was a nice surprise. AC was great. Parking and construction was a bit of a hassle, but thats beyond their control. The bottles the amenities came in (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) did not dispense properly (difficult to get out of the bottle). Check in and check out was easy.

This hotel isn't terrible, but we wouldn't stay there again. There are no on-site staff, so no one to help you directly, which was a problem multiple times for us. The first time, I used a number on the hotel website and was connected with someone off-site who knew nothing about the hotel property and couldn't help me. The second time, I called a different number, which was listed on a sheet of paper we were given, and the person on the other end yelled "HELLO?!" into the phone like they were mad I had called. When I said I was calling from the hotel, they shouted "YEAH?!" I had to ask if they worked for the hotel, and only then did they say "yes." Finally, the next day, the hair dryer broke, so my wife called and got the same angry "HELLO?!", followed by a series of patronizing questions about whether she knew how to use a hair dryer.
There is no on site parking. You need a fob for the front door but a code for your room. The room was clearly recently renovated, but poorly laid out. For example, the bathroom is next to the bedroom, but you have to walk around the entire unit to get from one to the other. They built the bathroom counter over the back of the toilet, so you can't raise the toilet seat fully and need to hold it with your hand if you want it up. The bed has very little room to walk around it, and doesn't feel like it is hotel quality. There are no outside windows except two skylights, and the lighting inside is really awful.
Check in/out was so easy, previous communication with the property was courteous and efficient. The hotel itself is such a wonderful experience and although we didn't end up using the kitchenette to cook it was such a nice option to have. Dinner at the restaurant was great, our server was friendly and seemed to enjoy her job. Overall the price for our stay and dinner was great too! Can’t wait to come back next time we visit the Guelph area!
This place was fine for our purposes, we were in town for the Hillside festival and wanted to stay near the bus station to get the shuttle each day. Check-in was easy as the staff at the bar are very helpful. Because of the other reviews, we were a little worried about the lack of staff after the bar closes but we had no issues. The unit itself was very clean and spacious, and has a lot of helpful things since it is a little apartment. It was great having a full fridge and lots of dishes. The downside is that our unit 207 was in the centre of the building, so there are no windows, except a weird one between the bedroom and the bathroom, and skylights in the kitchen and bathroom. We would prefer a room with a window to the outside next time. The air conditioner is loud and makes a weird humming sound, it was sort of like white noise for us but could be annoying for others. When we checked out in the morning, we wondered if we could have left our bags with staff so that we could go out for the day without having to carry them, but we didn't think to ask when we checked in. That is sort of on us, but we think if we stay again we will find out if that's possible ahead of time. All that being said, it is a good clean accommodation in a great location for a good price!
Do NOT take the chance!
Unprofessionally configured and managed and no acknowledgement of safety concerns.
Check-in is with the bartender in the beer parlour downstairs and there is no one else onsite - you get a printed sheet and an email for someone who may or may not respond. Parking in an unsupervised parkade around the corner. The local area is unsafe for evening walking especially with construction barriers creating barriers and uncomfortable encounters.
Rooms are NOT soundproof and floor configuration is a maze of blind corners and steps. My room had ZERO windows and was effectively a dungeon. How does this possibly meet fire code?
Furnishings were clean enough but worn and never anything more than functional. "Boutique"? Uh, no.
A request made immediately to amend the two-night booking to a single night, however, met with procrastination , an eventual referral almost 24 hours later back to Expedia, and finally a refusal.
Doesn't matter - there was no way i was spending another sleepless night there.
Although it said there was parking, it is a parking garage located away from the hotel. With hourly, daily rates. The a/c was not very strong and only in the living room area, so bedroom was very warm. There is alot of construction going on around the hotel, not their fault I know, but a heads up would've been appreciated. Larry was wonderful changing our room for us. Advertised 2 tvs , one living, one bedroom, however the bedroom one didn't work. So Larry switched our room for us no problem.
The rooms are spacious and the room we had was quiet in the night and early morning. Parking is close by at a municipal lot, so OK. The attached restaurant was very acceptable and the food was good, pub style.
Staff was quick and accommodating at check in, instructions for everything was clear. The room was massive and very clean, had everything I could need. Only improvement I would recommend is a Brita jug of some kind for filtered water as the tap water is pretty hard and the fridge filtered water was not in service. Excellent location. Above and beyond for the price of the stay for sure (hotel experience with motel price). Would recommend to others and stay again myself.
The hotel is nice, there is no elevator, so climbing all the stairs is difficult if you have lots of bags. The room has lots of room with full kitchenette. There is a lot of construction going on in the area, they are revamping Guelph's city center. Hopefully in a few years the area will be much better.
The hotel was great. Very clean. The staff were very friendly. The only issue was the lack of lift, but I just had to take my to time on the stairs. I would definitely stay there again.
Our room was clean, quiet and had everything needed for a perfect stay. Staff were curtious and the food at ajoining restaurant was top notch! Love staying here!
Great place to stay in Guelph. Good location. We loved that the room has a kitchen and a separate area with a sofa and TV. The bed was comfy. The shower was good. The coffee tasted delicious. The rates are very reasonable. Definitely recommend.
