COVID-19 may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't deterred our desire to explore. Here are a few tips on how to navigate the new challenges of traveling:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before committing to a flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as installing a contact tracing app.
• You must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Instead, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for X-ray scanning.
• Remove personal items from your pockets, such as your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• If you want to take food on board, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
