Hale Mana is everything you want a vacation home to be! It was the perfect place for our family of five (kids 27, 24 & 20) to start and end our days in Kauai. Pictures don’t do it justice! I knew it was going to be wonderful, but was completely amazed (and even got teary!) seeing the breathtaking beauty surrounding us. Sweeping views of the mountains, river, waterfalls, valley, avian refuge and ocean made it feel like we were in a dream. The sights and sounds were magical - waking to the roosters, watching the amazing sunrises from the lanai or from beach chairs on the lawn, the exotic birds soaring past, picturesque landscaping and zen gardens, enjoying sunsets from the deck, and falling asleep to the relaxing sounds of the waterfalls. Our son, who has travelled quite a bit, said it’s the best place he’s ever been to watch the sunrise.
Hale Mana is both secluded and conveniently located minutes from Kilauea and multiple beaches. We traveled all around the island daily and loved coming ‘home’ to Hale Mana. Neal and his family have meticulously appointed and maintained the property, and we lacked for nothing. Our morning coffee was provided and programmed; beach chairs, towels, umbrella, body boards and cooler made for easy beach days; showers (even an outdoor one!) were ready with shampoo and body wash, and the kitchen was well equipped. Beds and furnishings were all comfortable and current, with a spectacular owners retreat with the most amazing views. All their recommendations for beaches, restaurants and things to do were spot on. One of our favorite nights was dinner at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei, on the patio listening to live music (a cousin of Iz!).
Thank you Neal and family for sharing Hale Mana with us! You guys are the best and we loved visiting with you. Your love and care for this truly special home is evident, and we feel so blessed to have been able to spend treasured family time together there.
