Can't we stay just "one more day"???

We loved our stay so much we can't wait to return! The listing seriously does not do this home justice... it is beautiful and extremely clean and well appointed. Bette was a great host and super responsive via both email and text. At the home having 4 bedrooms with full size beds was a huge plus for a group of adult friends and the split floor plan allows for privacy for everyone. Common areas, outside deck and pool area are large enough for everyone to sit and enjoy time together. The new dock was awesome for our 27" boat and we loved the easy access to the ocean or the gulf. Cabana Club is a nice plus as well, although we ran out of time to do everything, we did stop by and would like to visit again in the future. Thank you to Bette for the hospitality... we will be back!

Great house, Great time

We were a mixture of adults and teen agers. One of our boats had mechanical porblems but we made the best of it and had a great time. Communications with Betty were quick and easy. Will definitely visit again.

Our vacation

From the moment I booked our stay to the finial good by. Bette house was great. Very clean beautiful home. Well maintained. This house was definitely big enough for my family and plenty of seating all around the house. The outside was set up perfectly with the clean pool and clean patio area, great hangout place. All though in the photos it shows more pace of the side yard for a trailer their was barely enough room for our trailer to be parked. Very minor issue considering they do have a boat ramp down the street for parking that you would have to pay for each day. Another thing that I would say needed some attention was the a/c the cooling of the house wasn’t as cool as we would like it to be. A/c had a lock on it so you could only turn it down to a certain point. But with how hot it is in the keys it made it seem warm in the house until night time. The water pressure in showers and kitchen skin were not all there but due able. But I would definitely have to say it was still a pleasant stay. Bette was on point answering any questions we may have had and making sure everything that didn’t work got fixed right away. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for opening your house to our family.

Best vacation rental!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The house is so much bigger than it looks. The kitchen and living area are a great size. Out back is an amazing place to relax. Don't miss out on going to the Club to enjoy the pool, beach, and bar! It's a great perk that comes with the house. Key Colony is a wonderful place to stay in Marathon Key.

Best Vacation Ever !

To say this house was perfect is an understatement. From booking to checkout it was so easy and the communication was great...thank you Bette. The listing does not do this house justice. I have rented many vacation homes and this was by far the cleanest. It was spotless....and I am picky. The home is much larger in person and the layout is perfect. Key Colony is a great neighborhood. We had all intentions of visiting the Cabana Club which is included but enjoyed the backyard pool so much we never made it there. We did enjoy watching the sunsets at Sunset Park and used the bicycles to get there. We also used the kayak which was a lot of fun. There are tons of fish off the dock and we saw several small sharks and barracuda. The house had everything we needed for the week. Great stocked kitchen and we washed all of our clothes before we left making it an easier transition when we got home. I cannot say enough about this home and Bette. We will definitely rebook for next year. Thank you for making our vacation a week to remember.

KCB 2024

We had a wonderful vacation. The house was great, just perfect for our two families, including four teenagers. We enjoyed the pool and the dock worked perfectly for our boat. Bette, our host, was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Winter getaway

Great place to stay. It had everything you need and was very comfortable. The neighborhood is perfect for walking bike riding and has three restaurants in gated community. The owner communicated regularly and we will stay again. Loved it!

Best Rental Ever

We have been staying in vacation rentals for years! We come to Marathon every year for 3-4 weeks. We love Key Colony but have a difficult time finding nice rentals with great outdoor areas as well as a nice home. We hope to be able to rent in Bette's home again. Super clean, great layout for family both indoors and out. The pictures online are great, in person its even better. Communication with Bette is great, she answers any questions and is quick to respond.

Perfect Getaway!

We loved our stay in KCB at this wonderful home! It was even more beautiful than the pictures and had everything we needed and more. We relaxed by the pool, went for long walks and enjoyed Sunset Beach in the evening. The owners were very easy to communicate with as well. We hope to make it back next year!!

Best trip!!

Great house with lots of room for all of us!! The pool was awesome and really enjoyed the entire time here!! Bette was alwsys there when we needed her-- just little things---nothing drastic! The house has everything you need for your stay!!

What a great experience

Check-in was great owner of property was wonderful to deal with. Master bedroom bed was the best sleep I’ve had in a long time took a picture of the brand so I can buy one for my own home. Kitchen was well appointed Pool was great, dock was great one morning I fished in my pajamas, would definitely recommend this to everybody

keys family getaway

We stayed a week in July. So much to do in the middle keys without the bustle of Key West. The house is very nice, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The pool and rear deck are amazing. We kayaked from the dock several days and walked to sunset beach many evenings. Bette was very responsive and helpful. We had a couple of small issues that were corrected in a timely fashion. The property manager was very nice and all were caring about our stay. The neighbor Tom is a great guy and we spoke most days. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Noisy Vacay stay!

Beautiful house driveway was not as big as we would’ve of liked for all the vehicles and boat trailer but made it work. The refrigerator needs to be replaced or put on the back patio for an extra ,the ice-maker does not keep up. so be expect to spend money on ice. Construction next door was a big bummer since we went there to relax but the homeowner said she was unaware of the situation and if we wanted to come back next year, she would take care of us. Overall not a bad stay other than the 7:30 am crane alarm ⏰

Awesome Piece of Paradise

We had a party of 7 the house was plenty big enough for all of us. We a great time hanging out in the pool and on the dock. The host Bette has to be one of the very best host that we have experienced. Her communication was prompt and her directions for gaining access to the property and what needed to be done prior to us leaving were very clear and easy to follow. She even texted to let us know we could get in the house early since the cleaning crew had finished early. She is definitely a 5 star host and we plan on booking our next trip to the Keys at this same property.
