Hi Jane, Thankyou for your review and feedback. I will need to look at options for the windows at the back as they seem to be getting splattered with dust whenever it rains, possibly from the foliage. Apologies, we have had a number of issues with the shower and replacing the the valve kit unfortunately didn't solve the problem as it was faulty, the whole unit has now been replaced which I believe has sorted this issue. I am somewhat surprised and saddened by the comments about the power cut, we rang you back within about 10 minutes of your call, were very apologetic and proceeded to find out what was happening straight away and when the power would be back on and gave you a time so you could plan your evening, I also offered a full refund in the event that the power cut was prolonged.

Angela, I am very sorry that your stay has not been as you expected or indeed up to the standards we expect. I will address your points as follows Cleaning - there is no excuse for this and I will raise it with the cleaner, as can be seen from other reviews, we get very good feedback for the cleanliness so this is not typical of our standards. This wasn't raised at the time and if it had I would have got the cleaner to return. Freezer - We leave the freezer food available for other guests as we don't like throwing good food away and sometimes people appreciate having the odd bit in the freezer to use for a meal, our instructions make it clear that the freezer food is is for anyone to use. This is not an oversight and is an unfair criticism. Bedding - The bedding we have for the lodge is not poor quality, however it should not have been creased and I will look into this and check all the bedding next time I am at the lodge to make sure it has not been damaged over the summer holidays and replace what is necessary. Foliage - The lodge is sunken compared to the land behind it so even when the foliage is low, you do not have a clear view of the sky. The maintenance of the foliage is the responsibility of the lodge park and I will ask them about this, however, we have had a summer of rain and the foliage grows rapidly in these conditions. Railings - there is a sign on the railing that they are awaiting repair, this requires a clear window to undertake the repair when there are no guests and as such it is challenging to get this done in peak season.

Hi Anita, Glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your feedback. I think you are referring to the lack of curtain/blind over the door out to the deck. On the back of your feedback we have bought a curtain, however we don't live near the lodge so haven't been able to fit this, but hope to have it in place later in the month. many thanks Ali
