"Beautiful old estate home of George Boldt carefully moved from Hart Island across the ice to to Wellesley Island to make way for Boldt Castle. Surrounded by golf course and Marina. Nicely decorated large rooms with ensuites. Large common areas including ball room, library, living room. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing."

"The staff are AMAZING!! They were the best part of our hotel stay-although everything was terrific. Clean rooms and WOW! THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed and pillows. I slept like a log and haven’t done that in years. I’m going to ask them what brand of mattresses/pillows they use-not kidding. They are not only pet friendly there but they are pet LOVERS! Just plain nice people. Our stay was quiet. The scenery unmatched as we had a balcony that over looks the St Lawrence DIRECTLY. We can see the castle right across the water. I can’t say enough about this place."

"I would suggest one or two towel bar. Also one more small tables in the room. The small towel bar was over the toilet so you have no place to hang damp towels. Also only one night stand between beds with a lamp filling the surface. But over all very nice for the price."

"We had a great time! We ate well with corn, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes and more from our host's garden. It was the perfect space for an extended family to gather to spend quality time; cooking, eating, sitting around the campfire, fishing, hiking, playing games. Our favorite was spending time sitting on the large porch, with a beautiful view, reminiscing. With shopping, dining out, trips to Clayton, Cape Vincent, antique shopping in Kingston (cds), a play in Gananoque, and go-carts there was plenty for everyone to do."

"This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay on Wellesley Island, NY. Tanya is a wonderful host - very responsive. We stayed 2 nights (Husband, wife & 18 y/o son). We really enjoyed the snack basket the host left for us - a very nice and thoughtful touch! The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook meals. We actually used the outside grill on the amazing outdoor deck to cook burgers one night. Although we don't drink coffee or tea, there is a very well-stocked area for guests to enjoy. We liked the ability to do a load of laundry the first night too. It is very tastefully decorated, warm and cozy. Everything was very neat and clean. Beds and pillows are super comfy. I forgot q-tips and makeup remover which the host had those and other items readily available for guests to use. We enjoyed several games of cornhole one night. There are lots of amenities there to make this house very family friendly. Unfortunately, we were not there long enough to spend much time outside so we didn't get to sit around the firepit or enjoy sitting out on the deck. Everything about this house is very well thought out for guests. If we ever return to this area, we would definitely stay here again!"
