The outdoor onsens are great, there are 4 onsens besides the waterfall which you can enjoy the great view while soaking and listening to the sound of the stream running down from the waterfall. Another cave onsen which are 70m deep inside the cave, and one free private cave onsen that must be rsvp before hand. Inside the hotel there is also an onsen to enjoy. We book a room with half board, although the price is on high side but is definately worth it with its great service, the onsens in nature and comfy bed. Highly recommend.

Quiet, Gorgeous, Relaxing

The waterfall pictures do not do it justice. Stay for 2 full nights, and pass an entire day down by the river. The meals and outdoor pools exceeded all expectations. Cleanliness and service/hospitality was excellent. The hotel is dated, although the Family rooms are tastefully modern/refreshed. Highly recommended for a relaxing quiet experience.

Traditional, a little funky, but WORTH IT

This Ryokan is very traditional and hasn’t been updated much. There were no English speaking staff when we went but they tried their best to make us feel welcomed and informed of everything they had to offer. The room itself was great! We had a private semi open air bath and a view of the valley, but the downside was the Ryokan itself smelled like mold. In the hallways and especially in the room. We slept with the patio doors wide open to try and air the room out. The real reason to stay here (and why I’d stay again) is the INCREDIBLE hot springs and waterfall. It was the absolute highlight of my entire trip to japan. We went down first thing in the morning and had the entire area to ourselves. It’s gorgeous. Highly recommend

Superbe expérience 100% japonaise avec Cham res traditionnelle, cuisine locale, bains publics et vêtements fournis. L'emplacement est des plus atypiques, au cœur d'une vallée avec cascade et rivière.
