The HVAC in our room did not function. We were in a family room with 3 kids. I was told by the front desk that it was “an old building” and the HVAC control didn’t actually do anything as it was central… it was blowing warm air instead of the needed AC cold air. I was not offered anything for the problem.

The shower head is not adjustable so only very very tall guests can enjoy a satisfactory shower. I am 5 feet tall. The hotel shuttle bus service is good but can be excellent if one/two more ride/s can be added between 5pm and 7pm from the train station to the hotel.

The view from our room was absolutely amazing. We strolled along the water along the beach. The breakfast was delicious and there was quite a large selection of food. The staff was very courteous. We did have a bit of difficultly speaking with the receptionist on arrival because of his limited English and we didn't speak Japanese. He was very nice though but it would have been better if there was someone who could speak English a bit better.

A perfect location to end my Japan trip. Hotel is right on the beach. Every rooms are either face the ocean or Mountain View. And the room was very spacious.

Beautiful hotel right on beach
Beautiful hotel right on beach. We went in the fall and the weather was beautiful and it wasn’t busy. Although the pool was closed, we still enjoyed walking on the beach and seeing all the sites in the area (beautiful waterfalls, sea caves, and shrines). Great in summer for beach/pool and in the fall for better pricing and crowds. Hotel onsen was great and staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious with most offering beach views. There is also a kids play room on the second floor that my kids (age 3 & 6) enjoyed. Would stay here again!

We stayed for a weekend getaway my, my husband and son. The hotel I really nice and beautiful. My son is disappointed we couldn’t use the pool but he likes it. It was really hot in the room to sleep.

Really nice hotel, room was clean with nice view on the ocean. Breakfast was served at the table due to Covid, which is understandable, would have like to have more choice/variation than just egg, sausage, bacon every day.

We have been visiting Imaihama for a number of years and have always loved the Tokyo. This was our first visit since the pandemic. We were very impressed with the various measures in place for social distancing and the prevalence of hand sanitizer.

I stayed here for two nights after visiting Mt. Fuji, the room is clean and comfortable, the canopy is with 180 degree of sea view, how wonderful! Moreover, we enjoyed the food in the Italian Restaurant and Japanese Restaurant, amazing!

The location was amazing, but services lacked human effort. I had already mentioned in the requests while booking that I'll be in my last trimester of pregnancy, despite: 1. As we entered room, the beds were separated, and when requested if they can be joined, the person asked us for an extra fees of 5250¥ for shifting the beds. 😑 2. ACS were not working, we had to order a table fan in the end. 3. Swimming pool was not working. 4. No vegan choices of food, despite it was told to be the authorities repeatedly for 3 months that I cannot have meat, fish or egg. We were ready to pay extra as well. And the list is long.

The whole stay was incredible. The staff is helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. We left the window open all night long and enjoyed the sound of the waves coming in all night long. A nice walk on the beach before or after breakfast and your stay is complete. Breakfast was also amazing. They have western and Japanese dishes with an omelet station with the kindest chef you'll ever meet. The gift shop has local souvenirs so you don't need to go out once you check in. We've had dinner here during a previous stay (Ise Ebi course) and it was one of the best in recent memory.

Perfect hotel for a luxurious seaside break
Hotel room had amazing views of the sea and was surprisingly spacious. The hotel also had direct access to the black-sand beach and a nice pool. Restaurants were expensive but food was good. The hotel is easy to get to by train (5 min walk from station). There wasn't much in the immediate local area but shops and supermarkets were a 15 min walk heading south along the coast. With a car (hotel has free parking) the hotel serves as a good base to explore further afield around the Izu peninsula. Definitely recommend this hotel for a luxurious seaside break or weekend getaway from Tokyo.

I and my wife had a great stay for two nights. Breakfast buffet was great. The beach was not crowded during our stay (July 1-3). However, there are only few restaurants outside.

Perfect for relaxing getaway.
The hotel is pretty easy to get to from the train stations - either walking from the local station or by shuttle bus. The location is far away from any convenience stores or restaurants - so you have to eat at the hotel or go on a journey, but I think it adds to the ambience. It’s right on the beach with a balcony and ocean view, and the rooms were very comfortable. The food at the restaurants was all pretty good too. For an exciting vacation maybe not the best place, but if you just want to relax by the water (which we did) it’s the perfect place! We will definitely be coming back - most relaxing weekend I’ve had!

Great location and rooms were very large for Japan. Furnishings were a little outdated but room was very comfortable and very clean. I ate at the French spot and the steakhouse, both were delicious.

Hawaiin themed resort
This is a great "get-away" resort style hotel as it has many things to offer without leaving the hotel property. There are many places to sit and enjoy the scenery (beach and gardens), a small library, nice hot spring and massage services. It has a Hawaiin theme which also adds to the holiday ambience. The rooms themselves all overlook the ocean and are very comfortable. Locally, there is not much to do except a few nice walks so you would need a car to do any tourist activities further away.
