"The view from the balcony is stunning to watch the sunrise and the sunset. It is perfectly located between 2 beaches (10 min walk either way) and close enough to wander in to town if you like the tourist things. The owners were so helpful and brought us fresh fruit, veg and eggs regularly, that they grow in the gardens surrounding the property. We’re we’re a family of 4 and there was plenty of space to relax and chill."

"The toilet seat had urine stains when we first checked in and only God knows how long its been there. The kitchen lacked clean surfaces as did the floor of the entire room when we first got there. Housekeeping was done only on the third day (which we were told was apparently the norm) and greasiness of the floor did improve after the cleaning. "We loved our time at Genari Beach. The location was even nicer than we expected, Anna the hostess was quick to respond to our needs, and Ancient Olympia was only 45 minutes away. "The unit was in a unique location in rural Greece, in the midst of an Olive Tree farm. It was charming, quiet, roomy for us, and functional for our needs. The host was very friendly and kind and helpful. We appreciated the gifts of food (fresh tangerines!). Unfortunately, the unit we were booked for was under renovation, so we stayed in a unit attached to the house. Heating in the back bedroom was minimal, and the internet was not functioning for the first day."

"The home was pretty clean and looked like the pictures. My 2 complaints: no hot water in the morning and the communication with the host needs to be better. My original flight ended up being cancelled and I reached out to the host to advise about the change for the check in time and wasn’t changing the reservation. "If you’re looking to escape the party crowds on Zakynthos this is a perfect retreat. Beautiful and thoughtful villas spread out privately. I really enjoyed my time here. There’s a beach a short walk away, a wonderful seafront taverna and several others just up the road. Maria provided excellent instructions with great tips for the week. "The overall stay was enjoyable but the villa was advertised as 'luxury' and we feel this isn't quite the case. The area in which the villa is situated is lovely, secluded and quiet but within the villa its self the kitchen is under equipped with the bare minimum utensils, pots, pans etc. There were no 'pantry' items at all tea, coffee, salt, herbs, etc The patio furniture was very old and cushion covers were ripped.
