Beautiful staycation

It was an amazing stay, unfortunately too short, we want to come back and enjoy better the territory, private beach and ocean. Great service, comfortable bed, standard food.

This resort is on a protected reserve and is very quiet. The amenities are very nice the the restaurant served up very good food. Excellent place to unwind for a few days

This is my 3rd time staying at Kingfisher Retreat Sharjah and I had another wonderful experience. We had stayed in room 31 ( original one bedroom tent) and it was perfect. Clean, comfort bed, and a very nice view of the gulf of Oman beach. Staying for 2 nights (half board), dinner and breakfast, as always never disappoints for me. My first evening for dinner was a set menu and my second evening was hybrid dinner buffet, while my first morning breakfast was set menu and my second morning was breakfast buffet. Overall, the food was delicious and well presented. The staff was professional and as always willing to help. I can not thank them enough. During our stay, we finally had a chance on checking out the mangroves and it was worth the experience. Highly recommended. While not experiencing any faults during my stay, Kingfisher Retreat is a perfect choice for a weekend getaway. Thank you so much team.

Wonderful natural preserve

Lovely place with beautiful nature, upsetting that some people still manage to throw plastic bottles on the beach in a natural preserve. Service is very good, food is delicious, front row lodges don’t have chiller in the swimming pool so water can get very warm if you are traveling in hotter season (we were in October). We saw a little will cat or maybe a fox pass by at night, be mindful.

Wonderfull resort and very professional staff.

We rented a 2 bedroom tent with sea view. The day before, our "morafik" (host) contacted me by whatsapp and sent me the details of menu, activities, the location of their parking and what is included in our stay. Starting from arrival on the parking lot, everything was perfect. The tent is spacious and with good amenities, private pool is heated and as such it was a pleasure to enjoy it in the evening. Minibar was full and the prices were decent. Free water bottles were provided too. He provided free tickets for all 4 to access the aquarium and the mangroves. That area is wonderfull. A lot of birds, fish and gazelle. The gazelle are rooming free and as such they came next to our tent in the evening and also in the morning. Buggys are provided for easy access all over the area, but we went on foot for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were delicious as it was open buffet and there were plenty of options to choose from. Arabic and continental options were available. The only downside it was that we have asked for bicycles and they forgot to bring it. Not a big deal but my wife was dissapointed a litle bit. During the night we switched off the water heater for the swimming pool as it was just outside our bedroom and it was noisy. But in the morning the water temperature was still at 31C even with the heater off. In the morning we went on the beach to see the crabs, turtles and the birdes. It is a wonderfull area and it is a marvelous resort with very attentive staff.

Kingfisher retreat still holds a special place in my heart and I need to thank the staff (especially Maher) for making my second visit just as wonderful as my first visit back in 2023, when more rooms were being added during that time. I stayed in the "original" 1 bedroom tent (23) and it was perfect. The private pool, while not temp-controlled, it still feels naturally relaxing. Dinner (buffet) and breakfast (buffet) layout was superb and it still did not disappoint. As always, kingfisher retreat is a quiet property with it's own private beach. Highly recommend waking up early to see the sunrise. See you again kingfisher retreat.

Service worthy of 10*

Surprised my wife for our 5th anniversary by flying out to Dubai where she had been on a 3wks long business trip. I took her out of the city and to this magical retreat on the shores of the Gulf of Oman. If I could give this place a 10* rating I would. Everyone was so polite, accommodating, friendly, and everything was simply magnificent. There's nothing I could have recommended needed improvement when the hotel director asked us upon check-out. The service, the food, the comfort, the cleanliness, everything was simply spot on. To us however, it was the people that made our stay that much more relaxing and pleasant. Knowing it was our anniversary, the housekeeping staff went into our tent while we were at dinner and scattered rose petals in the bathtub and the bed, as well as left a cake with "Happy Anniversary" and a handwritten note signed by the entire housekeeping staff. We will certainly return to this Kingfisher as well as visit the other Mysk eco-retreats.

Amazing Getaway..just perfect

We celebrated my birthday there, it was so amazing, the place is so peaceful and so lovely, right from we entered the property till the end each and every staff were so helpful and friendly.. Our hostess Emma was so helpful, she would be on call for anything that we needed. we are already planning our next trip again..we would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.. we really loved every bit of our experience out there..

Beautiful location - great escape into nature

A great stay, The view and environment is amazing. A couple of hiccups that were well handled by the management team. A few things could really be improved on, first, we were told the pool was "ambient"the day before we arrived and asked if this was ok. On arrival, we found the pool was so cold it was unusable. Second, food could be of a higher standard - the half board package just wasn't worth the money - 2 main courses available. The waiting staff however were great!

The best vacation ever.

The stay was elating, all the staff are cheerful, friendly and professional at the same time. Herika is amazing, she handled my Husband’s birthday in a beautiful manner. Every detail was taken care of politely and with a sincere smile. The view and the room are beyond outstanding, pretty serene and peaceful. Retreat is the right word to describe the place and the place is true the description. The activities are well-organized. I loved every moment, everything exceeded our expectations! ♥️

Lodge was lovely, the bed was amazingly comfortable. Good black out curtains & morning sun was super. We took advantage of the room bbq and it was lovely. Lodges are well spaced out and it seems like you have beach to yourself. However the beach was dirty, lots of rubbish which was upsetting. Might be a good thing to do a guest rubbish collection incentive. It was too cold to use the pool , which was one of the reasons we booked the place , it would be good if these were temp controlled.also the WiFi was a bit tempremental, could be better. We did one of the set dinners which was ok, but didn’t enjoy the ‘movie’ set up, it wasn’t very 5 star . Overall however it was a great way to spend 2 winter nights .

Very nice place, we will be back! The rooms/tens are amazing with your own private pool and patio (you see birds, insects and gazelles) Wi-Fi is one of the best I ever seen in a hotel A lovely ocean beach full of shells and crabs, the sand is good too The staff is just great, thanks Khalifa, Madiha and all of them The breakfast and dinner buffet contained high quality food (omelettes in breakfast and mixed grill at night were great), however, it can still be improved, sometimes you would find not-so-fresh items in the breakfast buffet (refrigerated) and some items in the dinner buffet were cold. In total, we loved our stay and the place and we will definitely be back

Chambre et endroit superbe, dommage que le personnel du service au restaurant ne soit pas formé... ils débarrassent pendant votre repas vous propose les cafés au moment où ils servent l’entrée... sur les 3 dîners c’était restaurant fantôme, personne pour vous accueillir ni en quittant le restaurant, pas de reception non plus ne croise jamais personne, aucune info sur le spa, les activités, rien... Facturation pour 3 expresso au petit déjeuner 22€ grosse douche froide... Pas de directory dans la chambre vous indiquant les numéros à joindre.. seul bémol dans le lodge, piscine glacée, impossible de se baigner, bref on a un sentiment d’être laissé à se débrouiller seuls, aucune attention ni assistance durant nos 3 jours...

Terrible food, expensive stay, bad attitude and finally they decided to throw our expensive swimming suits after forgetting them in the backyard of the cottage, instead of holding them so we can take them back, and after several attempts to speak to them over the phone they said they were thrown away.

الاقامة كانت ممتازة اعجبني المكان والهدوء والنظافة والخدمة الموظفين ممتازين وبشوشين ويحبون مساعدة المقيم لديهم وشراب الاستقبال رائع جدا . سازور المكان مرة اخرى مع العائلة واخبر اصدقائي عن المكان . ملاحظة او اقتراح: المكان المخصص للعب الاطفال يحتاج الى تغيير التربه فيه لوجود اصداف على التربه وتغطيته بظل لتغطية الشمس عند لعب الاطفال والمحافظة على الالعاب من تلفه من اشعه الشمس . اضافة على ذلك المكان يحتاج الى بعض الانشطة مثل الدراجات و الدراجات الهوائية و جوله مع موظفين الفندق حول المحمية . ملاحضة : الواي فاي كان جيد بالنسبة للمكان .
