The Flying Honu is located in the heart of Kona three blocks from the Ironman starting line. Built on the fragrant pathway from the mountain to the sea (Mauka to Makai ) it is a great example of Hawaiian single wall construction. Open floor plan with large windows to let the ocean and mountain breezes inn. Large master bedroom with ceiling fan. The lanai sleeping area has two full size beds . We provide everything you will need for your day at the beach mask, snorkels, fins, beach chairs, boogie boards .

Beautiful surroundings

Quiet little place with a beautiful garden. Very close to a white clean sand beach. The owners are very nice and helpful with things to do. The place was very nice and clean. I would recommend a stay here

Great location, easy walk into town

We had everything we needed and were happy with our stay. Having a place to park off-street was a very nice perk, especially since the unit is so close to everything that we just left the car there and walked everywhere. Looking forward to our next visit to Kona!

Stay Here

If you are looking for a comfortable and affordable place look no further. While it may be a few blocks away from the beach it is a great place to stay. Anybody offering a negative review would be nitpicking. As an 8-year owner/host of a short-term rental I can attest to this place being top notch. It is very well provisioned with kitchen needs including lots of condiments, spices, etc. There is a great variety of sports gear and a washer and dryer. You truly could not do better.

First time in kona

So.for my first experience i definitely recommend. Just know their isnt a TV in sight. Which is a good thing. Go outside explore and have fun. Everythings close by.

nice, clean and comfortable

the host was very nice and made us feel welcome, no problem that we arrived a little late, the Room was perfect, very clean, clear instructions for our convenience, the bed were comfortable and the room was clean, we had everything we needed. Would use this place again!!
