Lovely property but not as advertised
This is a lovely property with a beautiful setting and a great breakfast with home made products. However, there are a lot of things that we were told are forbidden. One in particular, which is repeated continuously is that eating is forbidden. The owners are quite insistent about guests needing to book a local restaurant (several km away) as its not possible to eat on the premises and food in the rooms is strictly forbidden. There is no tea or coffee provided in the rooms and the information about a microwave, fridge, espresso machine and luggage service is incorrect on hotels.com. There is a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. Opening times are not advertised and we were told refrain from making a splash. Its not possible to use the sauna or hot tub. The pool is covered as soon as you get out and is closed in the mornings. We requested breakfast at 9.30am and were told it was the limit because there wouldn't be time to get cleared up and check out at 11am. Payment by card is not possible so we had to be driven to an atm to get cash. This interrupted the owners tennis lesson so was dealt with by her husband. As guests we felt we were being micro managed which did not make for a relaxing stay.

We thank you for this mail, but we are first of all very surprised to learn that you were disappointed with your stay with us. Please find some explanations below. We send you an email on March 1 and July 30 via Expedia (text below) "Dear Mrs Vermeulen, Thanks for your booking from Aug. 1 to Aug.3, 2022. As stipulated on our site, "Les Peupliers" are not a gîte but guest rooms. A breakfast is included in our price, however it is impossible to cook. A fridge is available to our guests to store drinks. We ask not to eat in the rooms. Near our house, you have a wide choice of restaurants at democratic prices. The outdoor swimming pool is heated and is open for our guests. Arrivals are scheduled from 4 p.m. and departures at 11 a.m. Pleased to welcome you, Best regards," You were perfectly aware that eating in the rooms is not allowed (for hygiene reasons) In this email, I have also sent you a list of restaurants located near our house (max. 4 km). Tea and coffee are available to our guests in the main room downstairs and in the frigde, your husband put some cheese, I don't understand why you say that fridge, espresso machine and luggage service is incorrect. Sauna is possible but not for children because the sauna is heated by a wood stove and we want to avoid any burning accident. I effectivilu refrain from making a splash because currently it is very hot and no rain for several weeks, it is recommended not to waste water and this is also the reason why we immediately close the pool after use to prevent water evaporation. The swiming pool is closed for cleaning reasons (robot). We inform you that breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.30 and check-out is effectivily at 11.00 am. I would like to remind you that the check-in is from 4.00 PM, you you showed up at 3.20 PM. The payment by card is possible,I tried several times with your husband to make the transaction of payment, the system failed for unknown reason, I apologized several times. My husband drove your husband to the nearest bank to withdraw cash. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us We always try to do our best with our guests. It is the first time, we have so bad note, you can also consult the nice comments of our hosts

Fabulous countryside property within easy reach of Mons. Very hospitable hosts with a great continental breakfast. Highly recommended if out-of-town staycation preferred.

We hadden Pairi Daiza bezocht en waren sneller klaar dan gepland. Dus kwamen we eigenlijk een beetje te vroeg aan bij Les Peupliers. Maar de eigenaar verwelkomde ons hartelijk en we mochten de kamer toch reeds bemannen na een kopje koffie.. Het verblijf straalt iets uit van verfijnde inrichting …dit is een van de betere b&b's die we ooit bezochten. Na een zalige nachtrust was er dan nog een uiterst verzorgd ontbijt en babbel met de eigenaars. Betalen was nog nooit zo plezierig.

A countryside chill-out gem!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Les Peupliers, which is a lovingly renovated and genuinely charming countryside home in the Jurbise area. Our room ("Manon") was cosy and clean with a very modern bathroom and the garden and pool is worthy of a 5-star resort. Jean-Claude and Francine were kind and engaged hosts, who were both very friendly and communicative, and provided us with a range of extremely useful tips for activities and eating places in the area. The breakfast on offer was very tasty, with high-quality homemade and local products on the table. We highly recommend Les Peupliers to families looking for cosy and comfortable stay in Wallonia, and would love to return next time we will be in this region.

Helt utroligt sted - kommer helt klart igen.
Sikke et fint sted med de sødeste værter :) Dejlige værelser og fint bad. God morgenmad, med hjemmelavet produkter. Meget hjælpsomme og virkelige opmærkesomme på at vi havde et godt ophold. Vi kommer bestemt igen når vi skal på de kanter igen :)

Heel erg gastvrij, uitstekend zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, brandschoon met prachtige voorzieningen. We waren er voor 1 nacht, dus de niet werkende televisie was geen probleem.

Havre de paix
Excellente nuit passée dans ce havre de paix! Hôtes très à l écoute de nos besoins. Petit déjeuner très copieux avec d excellents produits locaux. On recommande ce logement qui est tout proche de Pairi Daiza.

Accueil très sympathique. Déjeuner excellent. Notre chambre avait deux lits jumeaux et deux lits jumeaux au-dessus avec un accès par une échelle moins accessible. Malgré cet inconvénient, à recommander sans hésitation.

Alles was subliem. Luxe. Superbedankt. Zwembad met ligzetels. Gastvrijheid ten top. Dame regelde spontaan ons dinner bij lokaal restaurant Om toch een opmerking te maken. De tv had weinig zenders maar daar kwamen we niet voor. Niettemin was dit voor mijn media kinderen iets wat ze niet begrepen 😁

Aangenaam verblijf, een aanrader.
Aangenaam verblijf bij vriendelijke mensen. Lijkt zeer aangenaam om tijdens de zomer ook het zwembad, de sauna en jacuzzi (waar ze nog aan bezig waren) te gebruiken. We hadden geluk dat er geen andere gezinnen aanwezig waren waardoor we de leefruimte voor ons alleen hadden. Mooie nette badkamer met bad. Verwarmingen werken goed. Boven in de mezzanine wel wat warm (warmte stijgt) en ik had beetje koud (heb snel koud en er waren geen extra dekens: tip: voldoende dikke pyjama). Lekker ontbijt! Top locatie zo vlakbij Pairi Daiza! Aanrader.

Een zeer fijn verblijf. Goede ligging om het Pairi Daiza park te bezoeken. Zeer vriendelijke uitbaters. Mooi huis met nette kamer en alle comfort. Een leuke extraatje: prachtige tuin met zwembad. Een aanrader!

Endroit calme et les propriétaires sont sympa.
Loin et près de tout à la fois. C est à quelques minutes de pairi daiza et plein d autre choses. Après une journée de visite on rentre se reposer au calme. Il y a un petit coin des jeux pour les enfants. Le petit dej fait maison est sympa aussi. Bref, on a adoré.

Goede bed en breakfast
Mischien is het handig om te vermelden dt het een B&B is en geen hotel, ook is alleen met cash te betalen wat ik nogal vreemt vond omdat de reservering wel op mijn creditcard is vast gelegd, de dichts bij zijnde bank is 8 km rijden in een ander dorp als je geld moet opnemen om te betalen.Het verblijf is prima en echt vriendelijke mensen, en goede verzorging.Ook omdat het een bed en breakfast is is er eigenlijk geen plaats om te dineren, dus moet je die zelfde 8 km rijden om bij een restaurant te komen, wel puntjes die belangrijk zijn voor zaken mensen omdat die meestal krapin tijd zittem.
