Horrible resort! We lost power for 2 days and water for about 12 hours. Staff was rude and obviously hate the tourists. Coffee was not drinkable.

Property show signs of its age, but kept clean. Most staff pleasant and helpful. Food at buffet ok. You will not starve. Italian restaurant is not worth waiting on line for reservations at 7am.The beach is absolutely beautiful which is why I would return!

The view of the beach was amazing and the sunsets unbelievable,tue pools were vere nice as well,the rooms were ok,outdated and bathroom outdated,but not to bad to just sleep in...the food was ok they need more of a variety of diffrent foods for diffrent cultures..

The beach is absolutely beautiful! The swimming pools are very nice. The grounds are very well maintained although there are areas that need to have outdoor lighting restored rather than abandonning the fixtures. Areas around the ground floor patios need refreshing. The staff is very friendly however service is slow. The resort is older but in general it is in reasonable repair. The rooms all need to be remodeled. There is no microwave, mini-refrigerator or in-room coffee. Overall our stay at the resort and on the island was very good. Our pre-arranged taxi service was excellant and puncturial.

Where should I start this horrid revelation of a review at? The loss of power, wifi, water and no food. Traveling as a solo female and have travelled many times solo prior. This place is comparable to the Shawshank Redemption of motels. This IS NOT A RESORT. This place is owned by the government and they do not maintain this hell hole. The only thing pleasant there was the staff and the view and that DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FRONT DESK STAFF. No communication. Management just laughed at the issue that had been going on for days. I arrived to this. Just “you’re holding the line from others checking in” to multiple people requesting information about the whereabouts of water, food and electricity. Had to sleep with the doors open to get air. Was ate completely up by mosquitoes. Horrible beds, might as well slept on the floor. Disgusting bathrooms. There was no water to even drink. Walked to the beach to clear my head, was came at by everyone on the island selling this that or the other. That is not a protected resort. I had to walk to a bodega to charge my phone in order to call Expedia to get tf out of this hell hole. DO NOT STAY HERE. Please!! If you want to Enjoy any portion of your vacation, I beg of you, DO NOT STAY HERE. You would be better sleeping with the animals on the beach.

The resort was nice but do not expect a five star resort. The room was clean but had to ask the front desk for fresh towels after two days since there was no room cleaning until we asked for fresh towels. The room needed some repairs as the door handle was very loose and the sliding doors (bathroom and patio screen door) were difficult to slide as they are old and the track is not in the best condition. The beach was very nice and the food was good. It was a bit frustrating that the only restaurant besides the buffet place was booked very quickly. Had to wait in line in the morning to secure a reservation for the evening so you had to get up long before the reservation desk opened to stand in line. We stood in line for a half an hour and the person in front of us went up to the counter and it was fully booked so she and us and the rest of the people behind us missed out. They need a better system. Also, the majority of the staff seemed irritated and bothered if you asked them anything. They just didn’t seem happy which I don’t expect every one to be happy all the time but it was noticeable that most of the staff have the impression that they didn’t want to be there. Not sure if it’s like that at other resorts there. We made the best of it and it seemed after I talked and joked and tipped the staff, their mood became a bit better.

I go on vacation with family every year so we decided to go to Jolly beach resort this year in Antigua. First and foremost I love the staff, very nice people pleasant and welcoming our first night there going to bed the lights went out, from there no electricity for two days the second day we had a cold shower rooms was very dark we had to shower early before it get dark. We have to have flashlights dinner I really can’t complain about the food it was great there was a lot of food. We couldn’t contact anyone home because our phone died so we had to go to supermarket close by to charge our phones. They didn’t clean the rooms unless you asked for cleaning and you have to pay $10 for each cleaning. Overall I was a little disappointed but situation happens sometimes.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. Everything is broken. AC dont work. TV don't work. WiFi only work when you are in the lobby and even then it go in and out. Food is total garbage. I have never been so disappointed in a vacation spot as this one. Water dripping on your just walking to your room. Entry door, door to bathroom, sliding door to the balcony and mosquitoe screen doors all broken. I must say the beach area and staff where amazing..

The “Beach” is the best part of the stay. The resort is extremely outdated and needs to be updated like yesterday!!! The staff wasn’t attentive like most resort I stayed at but the wasn’t rude either. If you’re looking for a place to relax & get your amazing tan “Jolly Beach” is it. FYI, it’s mostly couples ages ranges from 50 and up!

Excellent beach front location. Bars good, food good. Everything is here for a great relaxing stay - but the property needs a good deal of updating and modernisation. I would stay again, especially if I knew some TLC had been applied, as it is decent value for an Antiguan resort.

Excellent beach and outdoor pools. The resort is dated and room needs updating. The food was decent and all inclusive. For the price, it was great but don’t expect a five star resort.

The rooms are too small, only one bar of soap was given to bathe and wash hands, the food was average and there should have more bars available around the surroundings because the lines were too long to stand to get a drink.

Plenty of pool and beach seating, it is a solid 3 star resort, nothing bougie- but my husband and I had an amazing time! Food is good, beach is clean and gorgeous. Our one complaint is the fluctuations of the shower temperature while showering, sometimes it stayed warm but sometimes it went to cold then hot. Sometimes it’s hard to get new towels too, but for the price we managed. We stayed in a standard king room.
