Unfortunately, the "Luxury room" at Stone Olive did not meet our expectations. Upon entering, we thought we had the wrong room. Oversized, mismatched furniture that individually offered function, however without much consideration or charm of a guesthouse. A mini fridge sitting on top of a wood desk the length of the bed, a broken bathroom door, broken blinds and a window overlooking the inner stairwell, not enough floorspace around the bed to even open a suitcase, and different toiletries than were advertised in the photos. To be fair to staff, we were too exhausted from driving and hiking all day to request a room change, but if we had the choice again, we'd likely choose another guesthouse altogether. While we held higher expectations coming in with the Wonderful 9.0 guest rating, we believe that this accomodation is a good value choice for budget travelers seeking a safe and comfortable bed.

Fantastic views of J-Bay

Great location and fantastic views from balcony. Breakfast was good. Rooms were excellent. There was some support for load-shedding but we were not told what would work when - this needs to be explained fully to visitors and probably improved in future. If you stay here (I would again), ask at check-in!

Due to a problem with another booking I had to contact Stone Olive to move my booking by 1 day, which I did with over 6 months notice. After several attempts I managed to get hold of them and they agreed. With 3 weeks to go I realised they had not changed my booking online hoping they changed the booking their end but not on the app I tried several more times to contact them, to no avail. When I got to S.A. I called them and finally got an answer "they did not have any recollection of our previous conversation" so I had to pay a different guest house and Stone Oliver is non-refundable.

Beautiful Guesthouse

This is a beautiful guest house, located within a reasonable walk from the beach and town. Minutes if you are in the car. The Owners were incredibly helpful and the room and food were of an incredibly high standard. Great local area. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wirklich top und sehr gut gelegen. (Autoparkplätze sehr gut gesichert) Zu Fuss ist es kein Problem zum Beach und die Besitzerin ist so freundlich. Es ist aber etwas ringhörig und wenn alle gleichzeitig Duschen, gibt es nur wenig warm Wasser.

A beautiful guesthouse in a serene location, we will definitely visit again. We stayed in one of the self-catering rooms and it was stunning. Very well laid out and comfortable. It's a pity we only stayed one night but was worth it and will definitely be staying there again

As instalações são ótimas, a equipe lhe atende muito bem (quando chegamos, o dono ofereceu uma segunda opção em relação ao quarto que contratamos, e no final das contas ficamos com o quarto sugerido). As amenidades de banho são ótimas também. O café da manhã é muito bom, além do café inglês, tem outras amenidades surpreendentes, como muffins fresquinhos.
