Lovely heritage hotel, good facilities, friendly staff, good value for money
The hotel is loveingly managed by a dedicated Mother and Son. The rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean. Check-in was quick and seamless. The food is exquisit it was soo good that we elected to have dinner at the Haveli all three nights we were in Jaipur. The roof top is lovely with a great view of the fort. We celebrated Old years eve on the rooftop including fireworks. we were spoilt with kindness as if were visiting family - thank you! If you are in Jaiphur treat yourself and stay at Khatu Haveli!
Having stayed in many hotels during my trip this haveli was the best. Not a hotel but part of a home.
My room was very comfortable with lovely bedding. Clean compact bathroom with plenty of hot water and lovely fluffy towels.
Freshly prepared meals served in the dining room, shared with the owners.
Gayatri was most helpful. Recommending places to visit, organising flights and taxis. Even helped me by ordering spices I was unable to find on her account.
I arrived as a stranger but left as a friend, feeling I had spent time in a comfortable home.
I cannot recommend the haveli strongly enough.
An oasis in center of crowded, noisy Jaipur. Comfortable room, good food. This is a small hotel and Staff made us feel we were a “community” rather than strangers
Lovely place deep in the old town, great service and roof terrace, only issue was how hard the bed mattresses were. Everything else was good, especially the food.
Very nice place. Quiet and safe, close to the pink city. Affordable, good breakfast each morning, and staff moved us when the wifi didnt work in the first room. Roof top is very nice in February.
We loved the hotel, it was very nice inside. Very clean. With a very cozy terrace with tables and chairs just for us.The host was very good trying always to be helpful and available for us, very accommodating. They did welcome us with a refresher drink well needed. The room was clean and comfortable, but there was a humidity smell. The tv and fridge were not working but as soon as we requested they fixed it right away. They gave us extra bottled water too. Because we were leaving too early in the morning we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the included breakfast but, they offer to prepare for us a packaged breakfast to go that was waiting for us at 5:30 am. Bravo!!!! So, if you are traveling to Jaipur with no car (very difficult to acces by car) small budget and you enjoy crowded small streets with a lot of traffic, not clean at all etc., this is the place to go.
Great service and very clean.
In the heart of jaipur. The views are amazing from the terrace. 360 degrees (being the highest terrace around the neighborhood so enjoy the sunset , sunrise and day to day activity from the roof top .
A fantastic historic building set in the middle of a busy market with a roof top terrace to enjoy a sunset drink and views. The matriarch of the house kept a watchful eye over her staff during mealtimes and talked to us about the old family pictures on the walls. The only thing we didn’t like was the pushy receptionist/manager who was always trying to sell us drivers/tours through his own company which we had to pay for by cash.
A lovely home and so welcoming especially the 0wner and staff who catered and waited. Our 5 day stay was made the more interesting by hiring Darshan as our guide and driver. A mine of informion, good advice and fun to be with.
Recommend this Haveli without reservation if you want a genuine experience in the 'real heart' of an Indian city and are prepared to forgo some of the Western niceties.
Loved it

Very Clean & Quiet. You'll be so happy you booked!
We had a fantastic experience with Khatu Haveli!
Khatu Haveli provided an extremely clean & quiet respite from the noise and hectic bustle of Old City Jaipur. Aside from seeing the other guests at breakfast, it felt like we were the only guests! Staff took great care of us. Prakash especially made our stay very special.
The daily breakfast of fruit, toast, eggs-to-order, juice, coffee, ect. was delicious. We never stayed for dinner, but heard great things about it. Roomkeeping came daily with fresh linens.
For an authentic Jaipur experience, I trust you'll be very grateful for the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of this Haveli.
I stayed for five nights on my way to the Riff Festival in Jodphur and based on the advice of my friend, stage and film actress Miriam Margolyes, who had spent 15 days at Khatu Haveli filming the BBC series The Real Marigold Hotel. Having travelled a lot of India I consider it one of the best places that I have ever stayed in the country. The rooms are spotlessly clean, food is freshly made to dietary need and is delicious, hotel staff will go above and beyond where nothing’s a problem. There’s a lovely history to enjoy about the hotel and its family who run it. Mannish the hotel manager is a credit to the establishment. He consistently ensures his guests are happy and has a range of contacts around the city to organises trips, currency exchange etc and pride in making sure his guests are not scammed. If you are lucky enough to be invited to a morning chai with him at his favourite tea stand then you will discover he’s one of the safest drivers in Jaipur! The water at the hotel is filtered, kitchen and chef rigorous in their hygiene. The hotel met me at the airport on time from a late flight and ready with sandwiches and drinks on arrival. There’s good air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi and lovely large roof terrace. Service is available when it is needed. Located in the heart of this vibrant city, if they are not sold out and you are lucky enough to get a room then you will not be disappointed. Enjoy! Khatu Haveli’s location is great, but the cleanliness and facilities are a bit lacking. When I arrived around 9pm, no one was there to answer the door, which made my driver very concerned. Once someone finally came, they seemed more annoyed with my arrival than welcoming. The check-in instructions say to message the property if arriving after 11:30pm, so I thought it would be a smooth check-in process since I came before that time, but it wasn’t.
We wanted to experience staying at a real Rajasthani haveli and Khatu Haveli worked pretty well for us. It is a old haveli built in 1860s, has multiple courtyards, very quiet despite the usual street noise outside the compound. The room comfort was good: very clean, with AC, free water bottle per day, kettle, shower with good hot water. The TV in the room has some English channels: 1 movie channel, 2 nature doc channels, and apparently some news channels (which we didn't watch). The food options are good: breakfasts were included and had several continental choices (eggs of any kind, toasted bread, butter/jam, juice) and a few Indian dishes; the menu for the latter changes daily. Buffet dinners are available at 8pm for an extra fee, and include: rice, lentils plus 3 Indian dishes (which also change daily). You would have to sign up for a buffet dinner ~3 hours in advance to give the staff the time to cook. Some dishes were excellent, others a tiny bit greasy but still quite tasty. There are about 4-5 staff working in the haveli, all very professional. The owner lady lives there and visits the dining area during breakfasts and dinners so you might have some interesting conversations. Apparently this haveli has been in the family for 6 generations. The neighborhood is OK. It's an easy 5-7 min walk to the Pink City street with its colorful bazaar shops; and then about 30 min walk to places like Hawa Mahal (you will need to brave crazy traffic at street crossings a few times).
We had a wonderful stay at Khatu Haveli in Jaipur. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. The family and staff are exceptional—kind, attentive, and warmly friendly. The haveli itself is beautiful, full of character and charm. In the middle of Jaipur it feels like a wonderful oasis of calm. Everything was perfectly taken care of, and the atmosphere felt like a home. An outstanding experience that we would highly recommend.
Lovely place to stay, a quiet oasis in amongst the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.
The Haveli was very interesting and hosts were friendly and accomodating.
I would definitely recommend eating here as the food is fantastic.
Wish we had stayed a little longer.
Khatu Haveli was about as perfect as it could have been as a hotel for us in Jaipur. The staff were so helpful and kind, the room was clean, whilst the breakfast and dinner options were excellent. It is located in a busy part of town, but as soon as you walk through the door it's like being in a calm oasis. Would easily and readily stay here again, and will recommend it to anyone coming to Jaipur.
